I'm definitely enjoying your intriguing take on Jim and Pam and how their relationship develops. And Ellie's just adorable.

I don't read stories until there marked complete, if the chapters don't update fast enough I'll drive myself crazy hitting the refresh button. But the title caught my eye, because it's the name to one of my favorite songs, and once I saw the premise of Jim as a single dad I just knew I had to start reading right away. I love the sign language you've included! I know sign language and it's cool to read the discription and go "hey I know that sign", and great to think that hundreds of people could be learning basic signs and phrases if they want to pay attention, Who says fanfic isn't educational :) Please update with chapter 4 soon, my refresh button is begging you!
Author's Response: YAY I am so happy you gave my fic a chance, especially as it's still a work in progress. I really am hoping to become faster at updating.rnrnI'm so happy you know sign language and are enjoying all the little signs between Jim and Ellie - watch out for Pam trying to sign hehe.rnrnThanks again for reading AND reviewing, it means a lot to me.

Updates make me really happy, and if sending you a little note letting you know that I am most certainly still with you and enjoying the story more and more as the chapters come in then.... here goes.
I LOVE THIS!!! DadJim is amazing, Pam was right as she told him at lunch, hands down, that baby girl is very lucky to have Jim as her dad! He is so great with her, from story time to time at the dr's to having his arms being used as teething rings, so incredible!
Oh Pam. I get it, so much... she knows she has a huge crush on him, and the thought that he was married, and then the hurt that he had a kid at home that he didn't trust her enough to tell her about. I can see where she is coming from, being upset at him. How incredible was it that Jim was all about figuring why her attitude toward him was so cold, and then, once he knew fixing it??? I love.
Okay, I feel slightly toyed with by you though MissHannah, the title of this chapter led me to believe I'd get the whole on Jim, and his life in CA and his baby's mom, but you, apparently are a huge tease! I'll wait though, I guess. But, know this, you owe us....
Now, when does Pam get to hang out with DadJim and BabyEllie? I think she'd pick up some signs really quick... Maybe she can come by, hang out with the family, they can put the baby to bed... and then hang out some more...
Okay, patiently waiting for more.
Author's Response: YOU ARE AMAZING!!! I am so glad you knew where Pam was coming from. I didn't want her to be mad at Jim, but more hurt that he had this big secret and didn't tell her.rnrnThank you SO much for taking the time to read and let me know you are still here. It really does help me to know people are still with me.rnrnI agree the title was a bit cruel, but you will find out ALL about his life in CA in the next chapter - which I am starting now and am hoping to get updated much quicker =)rnrnThanks again xx

My love for this story grows with each new chapter. It's such a great and original idea, and your style of writing is excellent. No pressure, but I can't wait for the next chapter!! :)
Author's Response: I want to squish you SO hard. You do not understand how amazing all your reviews are. I'm such a nervous author, and never LOVE what I write. I constantly try and see faults in my work, so to know you all like this, it really is amazing.rnrnThank you so much. I am already working on chapter four. I want to try and get this one out quicker :)

Great chapter. Reading about Emile's bath brought back fond memories of bathing my little girl many years ago. So sweet. And I'm so glad that Jim finally told Pam - I have a feeling the "good parts" are just a few chapters away.
Author's Response: Yeah bath time with babies are always lovely, and the thought of Jim playing with the bubbles was just something I couldn't ignore =)rnrnThere will be lots and LOTS of good parts coming up soon, so watch out lol.

You already know how much I love this story, Sally, so I am, of course, thrilled with such a nice long update! The way you describe Jim's interactions with Ellie is just so sweet and touching. I can't wait to learn more about Jim and Chloe.
Author's Response: I thought I owed you all a long ass update as i t's taken me so long, so I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I just have this image in my head of Jim with Ellie, and him being the type of Dad that gives her everything he has, you know? He's a single father who lives for his daughter.rnrnWe'll hear all about Chloe in the next chapter. I hope you all like what I have planned!!!

I think this is my favorite chapter so far. :D
And Jim playing "this little piggy"--omg. talk about the 'awwww!!!' factor! haha

I'm so glad there's no Roy in the background - and I hope that Chloe won't prove to be too much of an obstacle. I like how you're incorporating stuff we've actually seen on the show, too. And thanks for the info re "Round and Round..." - I enjoy stories where I learn something new.
Author's Response: I thought about adding Roy in to the picture, but I thought Chloe and Ellie were enough, you know? I want Pam 100% commited to lusting over Jim =)rnrnYou will hear all about Chloe in the next chapter :prnrnAnd YAY I'm glad I taught you something. See, reading fics are educational lol.rnrnThanks for the review!!!

Your words paint such a beautiful picture of the love Jim has for Ellie. Lovely chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. That is exactly what I'm trying to do. Jim's a single parent to a beautiful baby girl, who needs him more than anything.

So I haven't read this story yet but I like the premise and judging by the reviews, it's very good and most likely addicting as well. So my purpose for "reviewing"? Just want to let you know that I really, really want to read this story but because the status is not complete, I'm afraid that if I start, I'll become a little obsess with the refresh button waiting for this story to be update and that's not a pretty picture ;o) So...please finish this soon so I can start reading and give you proper reviews :o) Pretty please?
Author's Response: Heeeee thank you so much. To know that people are reading and would like to read what happens next really helps me. I am almost done with the third chapter =) Feel free to start obsessing, it will be good for me to have people kicking my ass telling me to update lol.rnrnThanks again I appreciate it SO much =) I can't wait to see what you think when you do read it hehe!!!

I love this. Creed was hilarious at the end. And Ellie! OMG adorable! And Pam. Oooh, Jim and Pam, I'm loving this so far. Sorry I didn't review earlier!
Author's Response: Thanks for being such a fantastic beta, and for listening to me ramble on about this story for hours on end =)

Awww I really like this so far! The idea of Jim as a single dad just tugs at my heartstrings. I can't wait to read what comes next!
And this is Sammie from the JKras Web boards :-)
Author's Response: Sammmmmmmmmmmmmie =) I've missed you so much girlie, thanks for taking the tiem to review, and I'm glad you like it =) Single dad Jim makes me go all wibbley too =)

I was thinking about your story the other day and was excited to see this update.
I took it from the top to remind myself of what we knew so far and I was wondering how old Ellie was and if her mom {the Fool} left them right after she was born, or just whatever happened with her/ them?
I love this story, I know I have said before, but this is true biz serious so I will say it again, I love dads! I cannot wait for Pam to find out about this baby girl, and for Jim to put pictures of his sweet baby on his desk at work.
Their crushes are awesomely cute. I love that Jim's still thinking of Pam when he is at home. And I pouted a little for Pam when Jim was unable to join the crew for drinks.
So, obviously, I look forward to an update, and I hope, hope, hope that Jim does take Pam out some random upcoming weeknite.
Oohhh, I wonder if DadJim grows a weekend beard.... I'm just sayin, weekend scruff would be really HOT!
Author's Response: Okay first of all, your review MADE MY DAY, thank you so much. I'll definitely be going in to all the details of Chloe and how old Ellie is more... I for some reason wanted Jim to be the one to do a lot of the explaining. Ellie is one though and her Mom pretty much left immediately after Ellie was born. This will all be explained in the next chapter (or the one after that lol.)rnrnHA n ow you mentioned it, I may just have to put sexy scruffy Jim in there, so omg that is HOTTTTTTTT!!! < *starts writings and chanelling scruffy Daddy Jim*

I love it! Seriously, i cannot wait for more. I hope that Jim tells Pam about Ellie soon, I'd hate for that precious baby to be a reason to keep them apart.
Author's Response: Eeeeeeeep glad you like it. Thanks so much for reviewing, it means SO much to me. Pam will find out about Ellie soon.... maybe lol
