I'm so happy to see this! It was seriously everything I was looking forward to. The family/ girlfriend meeting nerves all mixed in with the first time my baby is away for the night nerves added in with the first time together for the night nerves, I'm so happy you gave us another chapter!

Sally! Love this. I can't get enough of Ellie. Absolutely adore that she went to Pam. P.S. totally thought of a new story idea. Jim is Carrie Bradshaw... the male version. I've been AWOL the past 4 months, so I'll have to go back and read chapter nine, but this was adorable as usual. A bathtime scene and Jim playing patty cake? Almost too much cuteness to be believed. Plus you had some great just-getting-to-know-Pam moments, like The Princess Bride and the Neosporian line, (which you just know Jim will tease her about forever) :)
On that note I noticed Pam's being a little artsy with making the cake and then shaping it.(BTW-how can anyone not think that homemade is better?) Since you've kept the characters pretty close to the show, I was wondering if we were going to find out that Pam has an artistic side. Since she's a slightly more confident Pam, would she have taken classes and gotten better? Would she be doing mostly black and white sketches since we know she's awesome at those (deleted scene-Business trip ep) And is there any chance of her having, I don't know done a sketch or two, of Ellie? Maybe as a birthday present?
I'm so sorry, I'm just rambling on writing your story for you, oh but if you ever decide to put Ellie through a "curiously destructive" phase, I work with an 18 month old who is in one of those and I'd be only too happy to pass on his escapades. He owes me :) Maybe daddy Jim is getting frustrated and Pam comes to the rescue ?
I love how naturally you incorporate the sign language, I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but it's so great that you provide the links.
Can't wait to see what happens at the party!

I would LOVE to hear about the little terror you work with, Ellie is definitely going to be getting more mobile in the next few chapters!
I'm really glad you noticed how much more confident Pam is in my story. And I'm definitely going to have her artistic side come up - I was actually thinking of Pam doing something for Jim for Christmas.

On behalf of 2010, thanks for restoring some of its confidence. Very happy to have a new chapter of your excellent story!
In case you have yet to notice, I am a huge, giant dork. Some evidence- my squee of joy- this because Pam says 'WE have a babysitter', not 'YOU have a babysitter'. Not quite sure why that made me so happy, but I had visions of them in the not-so-distant future, making lots and lots more 'WE' plans for a family of three.
I was even a big fan of some of the more uncomfortable moments from this chapter. I thought it was so sweet that Jim could sense and see when Pam was feeling uncomfortable, and when he did, he did what he could to make her feel more at ease. I feel like there will be more of that coming up in the next chapter. I know that first-time-with-the family events can be so nerve wracking in new relationships, and if Jim's brothers are anything like on the show... Yikes! Not to mention first night together nerves, oh boy!
I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT CHAPTER!
Sorry, I didn't mean to yell, just got excited. Waiting {not so} patiently...

Author's Response: Heee that is actually something I have been thinking about writing in a couple of chapters time (Pam washing Ellie's hair and getting her to not cry.) I wish I could writer shorter chapters and more often as I have so much planned for this story.
