Oh Jim, Jim, Jim. Why'd you have to say that out loud?! Can’t wait to see what Pam’s reaction will be. As others have mentioned, I'm glad you're covering this subject.
I LOVE first date stories and I can't wait for your next installment. Please update soon !
Author's Response: Thanks! Look for an update sometime tomorrow.

GUH.... really, there are no other words.
This: "I love you," she blurts out, then quickly raises her hand to her mouth. "Oh my God, was that... too forward for a first date?" - made me LOL.
Jim not wanting to go so far with Pam since he'd just been with Karen that morning... Ugh. It makes me want to slap him and kiss him all at the same time.
Please update soon!!!
Author's Response: Thank you for reading! :)

I love this. First, I love that finally, someone has addressed how Jim was most likely with Karen the day he went on a date with Pam - it's incredibly realistic for Jim to feel how he does, and I cannot WAIT for Pam's reaction. Such a great start, I can't wait for more. I've been feeling a little blah about fic lately, but this totally hit the spot for me :) Well done. More please ;)
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad it worked. I have the second chapter written and I'll probably post it tomorrow.

This is so simple and natural, and it works really well! You have a nice light touch for dialogue. I've often totally ignored the point you address head-on here: that Jim was (at least superficially) having the time of his life with Karen just a few hours before his first date with Pam. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this!
Author's Response: Thanks! It's something I've thought about for a while and finally had to get out. I was never sure that the transition from Karen to Pam would be 100% seamless for him.
