P.S. Oh, man! How could I forget the sharing of the chocolate bar?! That? Wow. It makes me think of when I would re-read the end of The Outsiders again and again 'cause I knew it would make me cry every time, know what I mean? It's that good.

Excellent. Pushy-ass Karen digging her claws in would totally explain how that week unfolded.
I hope Pam & Jim did it like bunnies to exorcise the spirit of evil Karen practically date-raping Jim.
Feel free to explain any more mysteries of the workings of Jim's mind, particularly if the M rating doesn't involve Karen at all.
Author's Response: Well, I like to think they did it like bunnies just...because they could. ;) You know, I kind of liked Karen. Callisto, this was delicious. I've got so much swirling around in my head right now, I just don't know what I could say that would properly convey how unbelievably great this is. From now on, this is what I choose to believe happened during that week. The encounter in the grocery store just about killed me dead--so heartbreaking. Most of all, my heart was just bleeding for Pam.
I don’t know what to do. Please just give me a fucking sign. Please.

This was absolutely wonderful. I loved following Jim's thoughts and seeing how he desperately tried to be all things to all people, until he was simply stretched too taut. This is one of those stories that is going to slide so smoothly into canon for me, I'll forget we never saw it on the show.
