I was looking forward to this update! This is a really sweet chapter and a great set up for like the cutest Jim and Pam weekend story line ever!
The bit about Pam validating her choices to herself was really satisfying and believable! I always imagined that soon after The Job there must have been a moment of smugness/pride where she felt like she'd actually made the right decision after a year where everything that happened suggested otherwise. Almost like a reward?
Looking forward to the next one!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! This is actually my final chapter, though- after writing about their date for 22,000+ words, writing about their entire 3-day weekend would probably end up being a whole novel. I pretty much said everything I wanted to :) Thanks for your great reviews!

Actually there were a few lines they gave me a good chuckle, "cunnilingus God" being one of them and another Jim's "promise" to himself to keep her satisfied.
I think you did a really great job getting into Jim's head, Pam too for that matter. And for their first time it seemed about right; shy, nervous, excited, a whole mishmash of emotions. But the best one of all...in love.

Yowza indeed! I loved it-- I think you did a great job with getting inside Jim's head to be honest, so well done! Again all the stuff about Pam initiating things but also being shy was spot on, as was Jim's thoughts about Roy and stuff. As always the characterisation was fab and it all just seemed so real!
I'd love to read Pam's thoughts as umm... they do the deed!

Loving your details here from the Scranton eateries to the movies that were playing at the time (don't go see Spider-Man 3, Pam, it's a trap!)
I liked the line about it how the memory of Jim's CN kiss gave her hope she's feel this way about someone, and resolve that she should feel that way (even if it's not necessarily Jim). They made the distinction clear on the show that Pam didn't call off her wedding FOR Jim but BECAUSE of him, and I think you show in this chapter how Pam grew as a person from Casino Night to the Job.

Yes a new installment! And yes, in true Jim and Pam fashion, this is the perfect amount of smut and the perfect amount of cuteness. Honestly, this is one of the most realistic AND romantic "first time" fics out there-- it's perfect! The characterisation is spot on and that thing about the yearbook picture with the art was brilliant. Pam is acting the exact way I'd expect her to, as is Jim, (of course he'd wait for her to make the first move)!
I can't wait for the next chapter; I know you said it's gonna be the last one, but I'd be happy if this continued indefinitely!
I'd definitely leave reviews...

I'm sorry about the crickets too! I'm actually relatively new to The Office, (since it ended when I was 12), so I wish I was part of the fan base when it was in its "hay day", but I'm so thankful that a few people still post brilliant fics like this one! It's well written, the characterisation is fab and I'd definitely kill for a smutty epilogue ;) Since I've finally managed to recover my account, I'll actually be able to comment on the fics I read now... Keep keeping the fanbase alive!

This fandom is very quiet all around, we have a lot of readers and very few reviewer's, very sad. As for me, I usually try to review every chapter as it comes out for new stories but I have had a crummy couple of weeks and forgot to check the homepage. I was incredibly excited to see so many updates to this story, and I was really hoping it would go on throughout the summer for them but I understand why you would want to let it go. I will say, however, reading these last few chapters definitely lifted my spirits. Thank you.

I can't really fault people for reading and not reviewing, since I do it myself sometimes- I guess I just expected a little more feedback on a site this big.
