Okay, boiling hot sex scene aside, there's so much about this that's just amazing. "Her eyes dancing wickedly at him above the rim of her glass" was worth the price of admission long before they even got to the party. The costume choice that foreshadows how upset Pam is with Roy? The fact that she thinks he's Westley, whoch works on do many levels? The world's slowest lap dance? Her letting him keep the garter? I mean. Damn.

Very steamy to be sure. Lots of very wonderful descriptions. Me personally, I'm just going to sit here and head canon that Pam dropped Drunky Mc. Drunkface off then headed to Jim's place for rounds 2 through forever.

And I thought about giving it that kind of happy ending but ultimately, I decided that if I did that, it would take too much away from the fantasy/Halloween theme of the entire thing so; as much as we’d like it to be different, Pam went home to Roy and stayed there for the rest of the season.

To be honest, I like that Jim went along with no questions. Sometimes we write him as a saint and he probably wouldn't be if given the chance.
Author's Response: I love that you understand why/how Jim would have gone along with this because you’re 100% right; we absolutely tend to paint Jim as a saint more often than not, but I really do think it’s okay to knock him off the pedestal once in awhile.

This story. THIS story. Oh my god! This Story is so amazing. You maintain the Queen of Holiday Fics, and this kind of story is why you will never be dethroned.
Here are a few of my favorite things:
- I love how you pull in a believable Not Office Pam. Cause don't we all have Work Self and Play Self and often those are very different? She's sexy and playful but still sweet and warm.
- You wrote lines that I would never dare to put in writing and you know what I mean and I love you for it and it's perfection and I could keep this going but YOU KNOW WHAT YOU SAID...
-Look, I could spend hours on the nonaggressive power dynamic for 9 seasons of The Office. You have the ability to sum it up in one sexy scene and I've never loved you more for being able to pull complex emotion into perfect, hot smut.
So, here's what you do. You take something a little absurd (trying to pass Jim as Roy; same costume at the same party) and you make it something we all go, "Oh that COULD happen!" This gift you have to look at canon and go, hey we're gonna swerve here, and JUST LIKE THE SHOW it works perfectly. It's a gift you bless us with. Please don't ever stop.

This review made my day, so thank you! I’m so glad you liked this! I’m also glad you think there’s a difference work Pam and Play Pam. I always remember that in the “fashion show at lunch!” episode, in one of the talking heads she says “now I remember why I dress the way I do at work.” So maybe this is how she dresses out of work?
And okay, we definitely need to have a long conversation on the power dynamic of the show sometime.
