Well. That's a cliffhanger if I ever saw one. Don't leave us waiting too long please!!!
Author's Response: I can't make any promises, but I know Chapter 9 will be easier to write than Chapter 8 was. Hopefully should be up soon!

This is a really fun use of Isabel! Lord knows Pam definitely needed her advice sometimes in canon.
Author's Response: Absolutely! It always angers me that Pam doesn't have many friends in the workplace, along with us only hearing about friends outside of the workplace a handful of times (if that). I wish we saw this type of Isabel in canon!

Okay, this is a really funny prank on Dwight, and I love that Jim is now at corporate supervising branch manager Dwight and still finds time for this sort of thing.
Author's Response: Oh of course! You think that just because Jim isn't *in-person* at the Scranton branch, that he doesn't prank him anymore? (the prank when he's in Stamford proves this!) Lol, of course! In tune of Frozen 2, ~Some things never change~!

Super cute lead up to everything. I love how Jim is just chomping at the bit to get out of work so he can get Pam. How all the driving he was doing seemed to be over in a flash because of his excitment.
Though we're still left hanging about the boys. I've got a feeling you're waiting for a Pam POV chapter to delve into that, so that's ok.
Lovely to see an update.
Author's Response:
Yes, Jim 1000% wanted to be the "yes man" at the Camden branch to get to Pam. Yes, that drive is a bit long from the outskirts of Philly to Scranton (2 hours), but nerves and excitement make the time go SO much faster.
BINGO. You got it. It would make more sense that a Pam POV delves into her kids, her nerves about telling him...her hesitation as to why she didn't...
Thanks Warrior, always appreciate your reviews!

Ok seriously love this story and have since I first started reading MONTHS AGO!
I really enjoyed this new chapter and how it’s going between Jim and Pam. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the night goes, what Jim tells Pam, how she tells him about the kids and how he reacts to that revelation.
BUT PLEASE, don’t take so long to update. I literally have a handful of stories that I need to know what’s next and THIS is one of them!!!!
Author's Response:
Yes, I promise the kids will be mentioned next chapter! Thank you so much!
I'll try to update sooner than this time. I've been back to work, it isn't always easy but I try!
Thank you for your kind words!

EM! WHAT AN AMAZING SURPRISE! First, the author notes...thank you for being so awesome yourself! #teambleu (I will actually die if I've manifested this).
I loved the way you were describing Philly landmarks. It made me feel like I lived there myself and added to the visuals. Pam's house sounds like the absolute perfect home. I'm excited to have her invite Jim in and hear his commentary.
Jim's thoughts throughout about how she was everything... So. Freaking. Sweet.
I can't wait for the next update on this!
Author's Response:
#teambleu forever ~hearts~
Yes, I can't wait for them to take a trip to Philly..... hint hint.
YES his inner thoughts are always my fav to write.
Adore you too freaking much, I promise I'll update this again soon

So glad you're back!! Wholly invested in where this is going. I can't wait to find out how you handle the kid situation and looking forward to your next chapter 👀
Also from SE PA (currently in southern MD) and blue route traffic is misery, indeed!
Author's Response:
Yes, I PROMISE the kid situation will be handled next chapter. YES SE Pennsylvania buddy! I'm currently in Southern Delaware, and I HAD TO DRIVE THAT EFFING BLUE ROUTE FOR COLLEGE EVERY DAY! Even if it was from the Upper Darby-Broomall exit to the Saint Davids-Villanova exit, still a hot mess. It's nice to have someone understand!
Thank you for your kind words!!

This is absolutely adorable. I cannot wait for their date. Please update soon I love this
Author's Response: Why am I only just seeing this now? Thanks for your kind words! I JUST updated!

Isabel is all of us. Yes to her enthusiasm and thoughts that it’s anything but casual.
Honestly, her willingness to drop everything and shop for a dress is so great. Way to hype Pam up. I’m glad she’s got her into something a little out of her comfort zone - that will definitely make an impression!
I’m glad Pam tells Isabel about the kid thing! I still feel like that’s going to be super awkward when she finally breaks the news to Jim. The more time that passes, the weirder it becomes that she doesn’t say anything.
I’m looking forward to their date!
Author's Response:
I agree with literally everything you said. You hit it on the nose: Isabel is such a hype-girl for Pam (and Jam too ;P). Of course she's gonna try to get Pam out of her comfort zone!
And yes, it could be super awkward, but who knows?
Thanks for your kind words!

I like your Isabel, so this works for me! Glad to see Pam thinking through how she feels about telling him things--and doing things with him...
Author's Response:
Lol true! Thank you! I find a lot of myself in Pam, and see my close group of friends as my hype-girls, who I basically based Isabel on.
Oh trust me, them doing things will happen ;)

Looking forward to Jim's reaction when he finds out about the boys.
Author's Response: Well thank you! I promise, you won't be disappointed. She has to tell him, but how will Jim take it?
Date: May 26, 2020 01:16 pm Title: Out of Touch, Out of Luck
Totally hooked - written so well. Pam is definitely evolved - even though she is content, she’s still willing to go after more with Jim. Can’t wait for the next chapter! (Super nit-picky request, could you add an extra carriage return after the paragraphs? No line breaks makes it hard to read sometimes. Thanks!)
Author's Response: Thank you! I agree, Pam has come a long way. She's happy, but isn't entirely against moving forward! And absolutely! Will add the carriage return, sometimes I forget whether I'm posting on here or ffnet and forget to add it. Thanks!

I’m excited for Pam to get a bit sexy! And can’t wait to see how the kids conversation goes. I love seeing different peoples characterizations of Isabel, too. Fun chapter! Looking forward to more!
Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, Sexy Pam is needed sometimes!
Date: May 26, 2020 08:43 am Title: Out of Touch, Out of Luck
I just caught up on this and I'm so so excited that it's being updated! Can't wait to read about their first date!
Author's Response: well thank you! i hope you like it!
Date: May 26, 2020 06:57 am Title: Before I Dive Right Into You
Ah! What a fun update! Please don't wait such a long time to give us them on their date! There was so much build up here. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I plan on working on the date chapters, I mean it!
Date: May 25, 2020 11:08 pm Title: Before I Dive Right Into You
You're right not a lot of JAM, but it felt like a good set up. Nice to have Is as Pam's hype-girl. Not that Pam needs any encouragement to see Jim, but just a push in the right direction isn't hurting anyone. Also to make sure she tells Jim about the boys. I've got a feeling it's going to be a shock for him to be sure. But if this is going where I think it is, I'm sure he'll be able to get over his shock fairly quickly.
Very much looking forward to the date after all this time and set up. Hope to see a new update soon.
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words! Yes, a hype-girl is always needed! Yes, the boys will be told during their date. Pinky promise!
Date: April 13, 2020 05:23 pm Title: And You're Making Me Feel Like Maybe I Am Somebody
Aw! I’m so exited for their date! Can’t wait to read what happens! And good for Jim for calling them out, and I love the way you wrote David!
Author's Response:
AAH! Thank you! (didnt realize i got another review lol goes to show how observant i am!) Thanks, I figured David has gotten closer with Jim since working for corporate, and probably knows what happened. On top of that, since Karen IS his executive assistant, may have seen her change since the divorce.
Date: April 05, 2020 01:50 am Title: And You're Making Me Feel Like Maybe I Am Somebody
That is definitely not filler. Gonna be interesting to have a date and not know about the kids. Also David Wallace had to already dislike Karen, right? Because otherwise Jim's calling her out would come across as petty. But I'll buy that he does given how you've set up Karen.
Author's Response:
Yeah, I feel like his opinion of her has gone down since the divorce. Something big like that can change a person and their behavior. We saw that Jim was wallowing in everything behind the scenes, but kept his work life professional. Karen could be the opposite: her personal life could be booming, but that could hinder her perfomance at work.
Also yes, she’ll have to tell him about the boys lol.
Thanks for your kind words!
Date: April 04, 2020 03:45 pm Title: And You're Making Me Feel Like Maybe I Am Somebody
Nice to see the repurposing of the iconic “it’s a date,” scene. I’m always up for a different take on that and this was very sweet - his hesitance at calling it a date and her saying to call it what it is. Super cute.
I’m not sure how I felt about the whole Karen thing here. It was super awkward. On the one hand, I could see her being bitter like this, but on the other hand I feel like she wouldn’t want to damage her own reputation professionally and would act a little more sensible in front of David. That said, I liked that you used it as an opportunity for Jim to take Pam’s advice and feel confident in his choices.
I can’t wait for their date!
Author's Response:
You’re absolutely right with the whole Karen thing. It was awkward (I’d feel awkward in that situation), and she WOULD be more professional.
But, who maybe the divorce led her to act out a bit? We’ll never know lol (you’re right, it was a total setup for him to take Pam’s advice lol)
Thanks again for your kind words! d84;a039;

Lots of good progress on in their re-building their relationship here. I like that Jim has the realization that his heart still and has always belonged to Pam. Yes mistakes were made in the past, but there's a new chance here and I'm really glad he's taking it.
Good on him to stand up to Karen's BS like that. Adults acting like childish teenagers are among my pet peeves and it's great to see Jim call her out like that. Well done. Also that it gave him the courage to ask Pam out to dinner. The whole nervous hesitancy was cute to imagine.
Kinda wondering if on this date to the city is when Pam will mention her boys. It'll be interesting to see his reaction to that. However considering the ground that's been covered and the rebuilding they've already done, hopefully it's not to big of a speed bump.
Author's Response:
Well, thank you! Unfortunately, I've met plenty of individuals who act like childish teenagers when it comes to adult situations. I would have called Karen out on her BS as well.
Well, Pam's gotta tell him about her boys before it's too late, right? I mean, it's not like it could be a dealbreaker............right? (just some suspense lol)
Thanks again for your kind words!

This version of Isabel is a whole lot of fun! A good shove from friends always goes a long way... This was a fun update, although the longer Pam draws out not mentioning she has kids the more awkward it’s going to be when the truth comes out...
Author's Response:
You’re absolutely right! She needs to spill before it gets messy. And thanks, I always figured Isabel would be the one to help get Pam out of her shell.
She wanted to date Dwight, for God’s sake lol
Thanks!
Date: March 28, 2020 10:22 am Title: Being Solo is the Way to Go, But I've Been Doing It Too Long
This is so cute! I don’t know if I’ve read any stories where they’re both divorced and find each other again. I think it’s a great premise. I’m looking forward to reading more, especially when Jim finds out about Pam’s kids. Good job!
Author's Response: Thank you! I haven’t read many either, which is why the concept appealed to me greatly lol. Thanks again!
Date: March 28, 2020 07:02 am Title: Being Solo is the Way to Go, But I've Been Doing It Too Long
Very cute. I kinda liked that we didn't have Jim and Pam together in this one funnily enough. As much as I love Jim and Pam together, this was a refreshing break. God for Isabel to give Pam a bit of a kick in the pants there. Of course things are going to be interesting when Jim finds out she has the boys, but considering how well things are going between them, I don't foresee to many major problems.
Lovely update.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yeah, he’ll have to find out eventually right? I mean, you can’t hide a big part of your life from someone for too long. Who knows how he’ll take it!
Date: March 28, 2020 12:12 am Title: Being Solo is the Way to Go, But I've Been Doing It Too Long
Well that's an interesting twist, and will be very interesting when Jim finds out. Also that's a lot of parenting for Pam. Good luck to her!
Author's Response: Yeah! Single parenting (albeit sharing custody) isn’t easy! I might not have done it (hell, I’ve never had kids lol), but I’ve taught kids from split-custody households where they go from one house to another, it’s not easy whatsoever! I agree, and I hope Jim finds out soon!
Date: March 17, 2020 04:07 am Title: All I Know Is a Simple Name, and Everything Has Changed
Oh Jim. It sounds like things have been rough, given the state of his apartment (although, Jim wasn’t exactly a clean freak in canon either). It’s nice to see that running into Pam is the motivation he needed to bring some order back to the chaos of his life.
Them falling back into old patterns and easy conversation/texting is great to see. I have my fingers crossed that maybe a trip to Scranton will be on the cards for Jim soon...
Author's Response: Haha yeah, the “maybe I’ll just move in with my boyfriend because he’s kind of a slob too” had a BIG impact here lol! Who knows if he’ll make a trip to Scranton...it’s definitely a possibility! Thanks again for your kind words!
