Two updates on the same day! We are blessed. Very easy to see both of them right now. They're both drifting, both somewhat lost. Jim may think he has a destination in mind, but for me at least he's just moving without any purpose.
Pam too. Beyond the pacing in her room, it seems like she wants to move but isn't sure where to go. I liked the mention that Pam tried to save her relationship with Roy. She also had the wherewithal to see the relationship was beyond saving at that point.
Looking forward to more.
Author's Response:
Technically, it was two in two days (11pm and then morning my time). But now it is two in a day since I've updated again. Thanks for noticing the Pam/Roy dynamic I tried to set up; I like the idea that she actually tried to do something with him, not just completely freezing up.

Thus far looks like another classic in the making. As always your gift for introspection shines. I can totally see Jim trying his best to think of Australia on the trip out there and failing as you have him here.
Pam's thoughts are also really interesting. Mulling over what her name means to her. Who has called her what over they years. What she's called herself. All wrapped around all the post Casino Night emotions. Great job as usual.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm enjoying thinking about this particular moment, which has been gone over so often in the fanfic world, and I hope I can keep up the mix of introspection and emotion.

This is a wonderful set up! So much emotional turmoil for the both of them. I can’t wait to see how this pans out.
Author's Response: Thank you! It's an age-old premise but I'm hoping to give it my own twists.

I'm intrigued to see where this goes. Great start. I like Jim's reflection on when he might have been able to pull the plug.
Author's Response: Thank you! This will probably be a pretty introspective fic, so I'm glad you're enjoying the reflection.

In reading this I am struck with just how much I have missed MTT and you guys, and how talented everyone is. In 733 words you have set up a story and established their frames of mind and I already can't wait to see where it goes. I know it will be wonderful. I am so looking forward to what comes next!
Author's Response: I've missed you too! I'm so glad you're back, and I hope you keep reading this just like I'm enjoying reading yours!

Great premise! Hope you keep at it
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll definitely finish it (that's my promise for all fics) but we'll see if the pace keeps up--that said, ch. 2 is up now.
