Huh, those are two worlds I would not have thought of colliding, and you know my work, I combine odd things. So thank you for this! It was very apropos and thought-provoking.
Author's Response: Thank you, Comfect, I'm glad you appreciated this! I like to mix weird things as well, and Clarke is one of my favorite authors, so... it had to happen :)

This is lovely. Poetry is certainly not easy but you have accomplished it well here.
"I raise my voice as I raised myself, from the ashes, burning coals and crumpled hopes." -- I think this line is particularly poignant.
Author's Response: Thank you very much for your kind words, Bored!

This is so emotive and lyrical and beautiful and I feel like I don’t have good enough words to do it justice. This is everything that Beach Games is about, especially how Pam uses the coal walk to find her courage and her voice. Wonderful writing as always!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Jenna! You're too kind :)

I like it. We don't really see very much poetry type stuff like this. However I feel it really fits. Like this is something Pam would have written down after she got home from the Beach. Nicely done.
Author's Response: Thank you, Warrior! I'm glad that it wasn't too off.

It was a good weird, kinda like a lyric or some other type of poem. I'm admittedly not that familiar with poetry types, I detested that unit in school. But the imagery was definitely appropriate, I liked it.
Author's Response: Thank you, DG! I'm not too familiar with poetry types, but I'm glad that this piece was okay :)
