Ah the driving lessons. Always fun to seen a new take on those. Loved all the interactions that went on before hand. What's a little different here and thus kind of nice is that it seems Jim's still building on his crush for her. I mean he's clearly besotted with her but I don't think it's quite at the level of hopelessly in love with her yet. Though it's clear that's the trajectory. He's still trying to make excuses in his mind. They're just friends and all.
However despite all that their friendship and connection is a lot of fun to read. That Pam gets bored without interacting with Jim and that he pulls her out of her shell is another great bit to add in there.

This was delightful! Truly. Such a lovely blend of sweetness, steam and humor.
“I never thought I’d get this lucky.” I legitimately choked up. I can totally imagine this scene playing out with Pam’s gentle teasing and Jim’s complete sincerity.

Oh, this is all kinds of lovely! I love, love, love this version of a backstory for Pam’s dorky dance moves. It totally works!

This was all sorts of delightful. You really captured their playfulness throughout everything. From the bad comedy show (you'd think they'd be immune to such cringe after Micheal by now) to Pam being a klutz with the ice cream, their game in the park, and even when they get back to Pam's apartment.
Jim and Pam started out friends and you did that justice here. Yes they're becoming a lot more than that, but the bedrock of their relationship is still intact.
Wonderfull descriptive with everythign as well. Great job.

This is amazing and I hope you continue! Your writing is so them and it really captures the moment. I can totally picture everything that’s happening, not to mention the fact that their characterization was spot on. Everything about this reminded me of how I felt when I was watching The Office for the first time and wanting Jim and Pam to be together and this was so like them that it almost feels like a deleted scene! Great job!

Awwww, man. This is just really well-written. And the details are just fabulous. The disastrous comedy show (and man, is there anything in the world cringier than a comedian who realizes he's dying and decides to take the audience down with him?), Pam spilling the ice cream, this entire date that could be a disaster but that they're still kinda loving, their makeout session on the bench, Jim recognizing her sketches... WALLY, the fact that his name is Wally, Jim and Pam bantering about Wally and Jim TURNING WALLY AWAY SO HE'S NOT WATCHING THEM, the callback to Casino Night and how excited Pam is that this is just another kiss, Pam comparing this to her time with Roy, the alternating between heat and love and laughter during the sex scene... I realize I'm basically just recapping this, but honestly, there's just so much to this fic that just felt RIGHT. Nice work.

Also yes a series of such pre-pilot one shots (or otherwise) sounds amaze!

This is really, really, really well written! Each emotion and scene has been so beautifully expressed, I can see it play out right on the screen. And I love how you have kept it semi-angsty but also fun and light- just the perfect JAM emotion.

Welcome to MTT! Nice job with this one. You really captured the early Jim and Pam feelings well. Pam still kind of letting people run over her, denying her real feelings for Jim, Jim pining from afar. However once on the dance floor you also captured their friendship really well too.
It was a lot of fun to envision the dancing with everything too. Dwight looking at the fire regulations was a wonderful detail and right in Dwight's wheelhouse.
Great job with this one. Looking forward to more from you.

I am so happy you brought this one over!
I like this a lot. The whole story just feels very natural - like it's a snapshot of their lives that happens to illustrate the themes as opposed to something written to illustrate a particular theme. Pam and Jim's inner monologues feel very in line with their characters, and I like the choice to give both of their points of view - we get a good sense of how much they both really need and rely on each other, and seeing what both of them were thinking during the Never Have I Ever incident really drives home how much their communication issues are costing them.
I wholeheartedly endorse the idea of making this a series of one-shots, would love to see more from you.
