"Jim, that's just called not being a dick." Ha! Loved this.
And wanting to search for apartments! As always, another great update that I adored. :)

Can you hear my applause all the way over in CA? This chapter is SO good. Even just the simple act of traveling is so sweet and endearing with the way you write it. I also love that Jim's family loved Pam so much and supported her education/career choices! I'm also kind of glad Jim's brothers werent there, because we all know how they are lol. But this was a great chapter, with some great steam at the end of it!
Author's Response: Thank you, sweet girl! I wish we could have gotten to see the rest of Jim's family more in the show. It's a shame they focused an episode on his horrible brothers. I am so happy you liked it, and thank you for your equally kind review of chapter 11!

holy CRAP, TPB. I was not expecting this, but did I ever love it. These past few chapters were adorable and then this one was just WOW. I adore how absolutely in love they are with each other. It's so cute and so perfect. Them at the park is one of my favorite moments, I love when they get those small moments to themselves to just love each other. Beautiful job, TPB.

Lots of fun with Jim arriving early to help set everything up. Another story where the parents don't mind the new-ish BF/GF sleeping in the same room with their significant other. Very forward of the parents.
Loved the image of Pam in her dress. I'd probably be right there with Jim. Just gobsmacked. Very cute.
I also liked how they took some time to get away from the party and have some quality time on their own with the walk. Seems like a great way to find some space for themselves.
The slow sensual scene there in the bedroom is a perfect way to cap their evening. They can take their time with each other. They just work together and it's lovely to see.
Can't wait for more.

I think this chapter might be my favorite one so far! I loved it so much.
Author's Response: Awww thank you so much lady! :’) It’s one of my favorites too.

Okay, these two are WAY TOO CUTE.

The moment of Pam realizing Jim is already thinking about their future is just... lovely.

So cute! I love the discussion of their future. And I’m looking forward to them meeting each other’s families! And getting more comfortable with each other and finding out what they like and how they work best as a couple. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Pam's opinion of LAX and LA in general were my exact feelings the first time I flew in. My fiance went to school in Santa Clarita so we went back to visit so he could show me every thing and LAX was 100% the most stressful airport I've ever been in and the ugliest.😂 To say I understand her feelings is an understatement. Awesome update!

Great chapter, very sweet. I feel Like New Year’s Eve is going to be epic!

I love Jim’s reactions to the names of the jewelry. 😂 It feels very “Jim”. And you know this, but I think her catching the picture of her as his lock screen is just plain freakin’ adorable. They’re so sweet they make my teeth hurt and I love it oh so much!
Now, let’s let them ring in the new year. *wink wink*

*pulls up in his cyber ambulance of awesome and bring a jumpbag and med bag over to TPB's side*
Hmmm, airway's open, breathing is rapid and deep, pulse is rapid and slightly thready. It appears the patient is responsive only to loud verbal stimuli.
*gets out the glucometer and checks a blood sugar, it just reads HI, spikes an IV bag of normal saline and preps for an IV start, easily starts an 18 gauge IV in the left AC and attaches the saline to run wide open*
TBP if you're in there I've got some fluids running to start to clear out all the sugar in your system.
*checks his dose chart and draws up the appropriate amount of insulin*
Sorry this isn't an IV med, I'm going to have to poke you again.
*preps the needle and injects is into the right outer thigh, after a few minutes TPB starts to come around*
Welcome back to the land of the living. Now that you're coherent I can get on with the actual review of this chapter.
First off, thanks for that little shout-out in the opening chapter note. It made me laugh and set the tone for a wonderful chapter.
I liked that Jim is adorably clueless on what gift to get her. I was kind of hoping the teapot would make an appearance. Maybe later. The earrings are still a good choice.
Pam's card seemed lovely. Just the kind of thing she would do for him. Simple but full of emotion and heart. Her written words and his spoken words just keep that feeling alive. The after gift giving activities even more so.
Very cute moments of them on the plane together too. I wish I knew the movie reference but sadly I do not.
Delightful chapter. Can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Your review made me laugh so hard! Thanks for the shot. I’ll try not to OD on fluff again. (But we both know I will.)

Love the line about the personal space heater. What is with girls and running cold by the way? My wife has long called me her personal hot water bottle. Now don't think I'm complaining. I'm VERY much not complaining. This is more of generalized observation rather than critique of female-kind. But I digress.
I just love how you've written these two. How they can already see forever in each other's eyes. Who cares if they haven't really been together very long. When you know, you know.
You've found a great way to write these two so lean into that. It's making for a great story that I look forward to everytime you update.
Author's Response: Thank you as always warrior! I’m not sure about the whole temperature thing either because both my sister and I run warm. But it’s so fun to write, so I like to include it. Glad you’re enjoying it! Chapter 10 is on the way...

Oh hey there, sweaty Jim.
“Jim shakes his head. “I don’t think that.” He takes a deep breath and continues slowly. “But what I will say is that… I just have this feeling that there will be a time in our lives when we won’t have this problem.” This line made me very happy. :)
Another wonderfully fluffy update, as usual! I’m totally here for it.

Aw man this hits so hard. My fiance and I started dating in high school, ten years later much of our relationship has been long distance. So when I say I feel what they're going through, my heart unfortunately does. Finding your soul mate early means waiting even longer for the perfect time to take on the world together.
Anyway, I loveeee love love this fic and will write it 1000 more times. You've done a really great job at it!

So cute and sweet! I like that Jim gave Pam a safe space to share her reasons for not drinking and her past, and I’m glad to see him thank her for telling him! It can be exhausting to be vulnerable that way and it definitely deserves thanks. And I liked how Pam kind of had that bit of wariness when she saw how much Jim drank, that was a moment that felt really real and shows how just because you’re out of a relationship doesn’t mean you’re not still occasionally under it’s effects. Great job!
And I loved the little bits with Dwight and Angela! I laughed at Dwights dialogue. I just love a college aged Dwight and seeing how different people write him and yours is so funny! Great job with these last two chapters. Looking forward to the next one!
Author's Response:
Oh I'm so glad that Pam's experience felt real to you because I totally wasn't sure about that! I had nothing of my own to influence that part of the story, so I'm relieved that it worked.
I had such a fun time with Dwight's character, and I'm glad you enjoyed reading those parts! He'll be back at some point, not sure when, but he's a real hoot and a half, and I need more Jim/Dwight interaction in my life.

I really loved this glimpse into Pam's past and getting a better sense of the scars Roy left behind, and the image of them in bed all cozy is adorable!

I live for this kind of fluff! It’s so freaking cute and I love Pam feeling so safe with Jim. I can’t wait until they get to spend some of Christmas break with each other! :)
Author's Response: Thanks, girl! Always love hearing what you think. They're going to have to be apart for a little while before Christmas break, but knowing me, I'll just condense it into a paragraph so I don't have to write any sad feelings. ;)

Very fluffy to be sure. I'm glad Pam opens up about her past. Also good choice in not going into to every detail about everything. Yeah, we don't need to know all that.
Jim is just there for her and it's lovely. He's patient and kind and great. I remember having some conversations like that I remember how much my then girlfriend (now wife) said it meant to her that I just listened to her and held her. Very much the same kind of feeling here.
Then a healthy dose of I love you for listening to me sex to help fully heal everything. Good call.
As always I'm looking forward to where this goes. Great update.

Aw! So fluffy! I love how cute and sweet they are together. I'm glad Pam is opening up to Jim about her past. I think they're in the sweetest I love you moments right now and I cannot get enough!
Author's Response: Thank you! I’m glad you like the fluff because that is all I know how to write. Lol!

Ugh, the comparisons to Roy were heart wrenching. Pam’s history with Roy here does not sound wonderful... I’m glad Jim was a sappy, affectionate drinker and not anything else.
Dwight was a whole lot of fun!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your kind reviews! :') I loved writing these chapters, and I'm so glad you are enjoying them!

Don’t apologize for the fluff when it’s this good. I mean:
“And I’m sure life continued on around us and the world continued to spin, but I’ll never know, because in that moment, my entire world was in my arms.”
This is the very definition of heart eyes and this whole chapter just melted me into oblivion in the best way. So, so sweet.

TPB, your smut is so lovely. You walk that line between steamy and tender and sweet so very well. This felt true to the Jim and Pam you’ve created here, young and somewhat inexperienced, but still so connected and in sync with one another.
