Author's Response: Thank you for reading and enjoying!

Beth, this was just about everything one could ask for. Somehow I doubt Jim and Pam would be so willing to indulge like this later in their relationship so it's fun to see them like this. Clearly they had a ton of fun but even in their inebriated state they didn't go to overboard. Still Pam dancing on a bar, multiple shots of Jameson, Taco Bell, and finally drunken sex on the table made for a perfect St. Patty's. Even better that Jim took care of her through the rest of the evening. Good job Jim. Even when you're drunk you're the best of boyfriends.
Thanks for all the chapters you've written for this story. It's been a ton of fun.
Author's Response: Thanks, Warrior! This chapter was especially fun to write. A new addition to events I've written for sure!

Okay drunk Jam is amazing. I loved how crazy Pam went, truly reliving her college days. I loved how encouraging Jim was of it too. I was cracking up at Pam this whole chapter, she was a delight to read. And then once they got home? Hot. Geez. As simple as it was, the very ending with "I'm not Irish" and "I know" is probably my favorite part. I'm a sucker for the little moments. Great job, Bathany, this was a joy to read.
Author's Response: Thanks, At! Of course Jim would encourage her to do this hah. He knew the mess he was getting himself into with her drinking that much!

Oh my goodness, Beth. This was amazing in so many ways. Chaotic, yes, crazy, you bet, but also sweet, funny, adorable, and my goodness, you can just feel how in love they are.
“Oh, no. I’d rather get sick. This is awesome.” UGH. Why is he so amazing? Honestly, I'm not sure if I've ever wanted to be Pam more than when I read this chapter. And yes, I know she pukes Taco Bell. I still want to be Pam right now.
I loved their amusing drunk conversations. Once again, they're so in love that it just gives you all the feels, even though they're singing and eating bean burritos.
Amazing job, my friend!
Author's Response: Pam had the absolute most entertaining St. Patrick's Day ever for sure! I'm glad you were able to see how much they loved each other in this chapter. I wanted to convey their emotions while still being insane.

UM. EXCUSE ME, ELIZABETH?! (that's right, I went there. I called you by your first name)
Where did *this* come from? Your drunk Jam is amazing! HIGHLY entertaining as well. I have no words! The car-bombs, the Coyote Ugly-esque moment Pam has, the TACO BELL?! OH, that desk scene. Don't get me started, I will reread that scene over and over again.
Pam *would* throw up on Jim's rug.
And the whole ending is so sweet! What a great chapter, girl! I loved this!
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to write for sure! The Taco Bell was a must have for this to be honest.

I just realized that I never reviewed...whoops time to fix that.
I love the call-back to other episodes and the foreshadowing toward others. Laverne's Pies, Rite-Aid, the jersey (similar to the one he got on his last birthday). This is great! I loved this chapter, I felt like I was watching this as an episode! Love it, TPB!

There's a lot of good Michael lines here. Him bringing a communal sized box of croissants just for himself was very him, as was him not at all understanding what birthday suit meant. And remembering how he figured out how to get David Wallace to call him down the line, I fear how he's going to direct Ryan's attention to his birthday. Actually, it's Season 4, screw him.
The Pi Day connection was great! A very underrated holiday very conveniently placed to Eva Longoria's birthday. (And Phyliss' quiet eagerness to smash Michael in the face with a pie was hilarious.)
I really love the note here that Jim's memory of S2 Michael's Birthday isn't perfect. It's a good note of realism that you don't often see in Jam fics, where the two of them always seem to have total recall of all these moments the camera crew catches. They have a lot going on their lives, unlike us they don't have the benefit of rewatching, and some of these precise details have to be not quite as important to them as the documentary wants us to think.

Well this was just adorable. I especially enjoyed how Pam fakes out Jim in the capture the flag game but all of it was delightful fun.
You really did a good job with the ensemble characters and Michael is so true to his character. The mentos and coke was classic. The using of them for Toothpaste and the explosion.
I even felt hungry when there was no dinner and cold through the whole story so great job setting the scene.
Thanks for the fun trip.

“He just hoped that she knew that instead of the fabric softener, he remembered her hand on his arm when they found the DVD of American Pie 2 and the blush on her cheeks when the attendant scolded her for speaking over the telecom.”
Listen. I know I give you shit about not writing angst but like
*never* stop writing sweet things like this because my heart MELTED. Ugh.
Also. I GUFFAWED at the line about Michael and the complicated math problem. They would give you the math chapter.
Author's Response:
I must confess, nmt actually wrote the line you pointed out, LOL. We're dying at that right now.
Thank you so much for reviewing! I tried not to go *too* crazy with the math, but I had to sneak a little bit in!

This was fun. Pi day pies and a revist to some old grounds was a treat to read. Jim and Pam are just great together here. Micheal was also in top form. I can very easily see him stopping work so they would do all these crazy activities. The prank on Dwight made me laugh too. A classic prank pulled off to great effect. And there at the end, Jim and Pam are just happy to be together. I'm sure they'll be even happier when they get home from dinner. Great job.

The callbacks to other scenes we've seen in this update are amazing.
Then Jim asking her if she wants a repeat of Valentine's Day? Hi, I'm dead.
I've said it once and I'll say it a bunch more, but you capture the voice of all the characters so well!
It's always fun to read your dialogue!

The whole scene of them sipping hot chocolate in front of the fire is peak winter wonderland happiness.
I can't believe you made them tumble down the hill like that and then the Gatorade....yikes hahaha.
Loved the update!

TPB, this was SO good. Michael being upset that it's not his actual birthday is perfect. "It's not the same." And then Michael doing math to figure out that his birthday should have been on Friday cracked me up. I loveeee that you brought them to Laverne's and that they know Pam so well there. And then them at Rite Aid. Ughhh. I love that you had them remember different things about Michael's last birthday.
And then the actual party was great. Michael's "birthday suit" is amazing. Jim and Pam's look to each other was so spot on too. And then DJ Vu made me laugh, especially after Andy tried to explain his reasoning behind it. And it wouldn't be a true day at the office without a prank on Dwight. Filling the plate with whipped cream was perfect.
Okay but my FAVORITE part was the end. Just Jim and Pam, going out to meet up with friends and just having a regular conversation. It's the little things. And then their planned repeats of Valentines Day. Ugh. Amazing. Ten out of five stars.

Oh, Michael. Hahaha you nailed his reactions and “party game” ideas and this is something I could totally see happening in the show.
I love that the pie stand people know Pam and that Jim can poke a little fun at her. And I also love that your little math-loving self was able to throw in some math jokes! Hahaha it was perfect.
But I *really* loved the ending, where they really just want to be with each other and they finally can. Now you can right a chapter two about what happens after they get “stomach aches”. I’ll wait.
Loved this, TPB!

“You really have a type, huh? Something about a front desk really does it for you.” Lady you make me laugh out loud.
I love that we get this chapter along with the visual of Jenna learning to ski IRL from her Instagram a few days ago! Perfect timing. Your descriptions gave me flashbacks of learning to ski myself.
And then this was just so lovely. A quiet, comfortable moment with the two of them appreciating their love. Beautiful job!

You know what I want to say but I won’t cause I’ve said it so many times before, lady! More than half this chapter was steamy (and GREAT steam) so you can never ever say that about yourself again.
And YES we love a jewel tone and they DO look great on everybody!

Where on Earth do I even begin?? Lets start with the chapter notes. If you and your hubby ever take the kids out skiing, TPB will have to photoshop her face onto his so we can get this masterpiece of a chapters note. Now, for the actual story. I can't even begin to form coherent thoughts. Pam realizing that if the front desk lady was smiling and blushing with Roy she would have been concerned, but knew she had to reason to be with Jim? Perfection. And then how he joked about giving her the casino night speech for the upgrade, I died laughing. I'm so glad that they are at a point where they can joke about that, because I believe they totally could. And then Pam having to get some forgiving done before the slopes, yes please.
For the actual skiing, I couldn't have asked for anything more. How Jim was so ready to spend all day on the bunny slopes if that's what Pam wanted, but was also encouraging her to try something harder if she felt comfortable with it. Ugh. And then her crashing into him was amazing. Pam being confused about why he was yelling about pizza is hilarious! And of course they would start laughing about it right afterwards. The gatorade was also amazing. I love the Artie reference. "I'm not Creed" I died.
And then Pam being concerned about Jim while he's limping but he's just making jokes while assuring her that he's fine is SO on point. Great job.
And last but CERTAINLY not least, the fireplace scene. I'm going to need to read this on a weekly basis just to make sure I'm set for the rest of the week. It was soo cozy and warm feeling, and just so sweet. I also loved all the snow imagery and metaphors. It really tied it all together.
Great job, WW. I'll be framing this.

"Snowed in" is one of my favorite tropes and this did NOT disappoint! I'm so obsessed with this fic!!! You are all doing such an incredible job!

OBSESSED with this! Oh my gosh. First off, your use of "Ultimate" from Freaky Friday as the title makes my 2003 heart really happy. My favorite era of Jim and Pam is seasons 2-4 and I absolutely adore thinking about all the stuff the show didn't show us. I am going to be up all night catching up on this!

WW (I almost wrote your real name, whoops). This was so cute! I might no little-to-nothing aboit skiing, but the way you described it makes me wanna go out and ski now!
I love that they fell on each other, makes total sense.
“I’m not Creed” lol I had to hide my laughter in the waiting room of my dr appointment over that. Brilliant!
Thanks TPB for the gatorade bottle idea, it fits so well!
This was just so stinking adorable!

This was beautiful. I love stories like this where Pam and Jim just get to be happy and in love with each other. Setting out for new advetures is just the icing on the cake.
It seems a very Jim thing to do to start breaking out in laughter when Pam collides into him. It added to the fun they must have had on the slopes.
Curling up by the fire was the perfect way to end this one. However there's one section that just really goes to all of this.
"Then Jim came along. But instead of trampling on her blanket of freshly fallen snow, he joined her by her side as she discovered what to do with it. He absorbed the noise and loved her in the quiet, deliberate way she never understood she needed until he was hers. He was her calm, her constant. Just like the snow."
Poetry.
Wonderful job WW. Bravo.

This was just really sweet. You can really feel Pam coming into her own and coming to accept the new normal of her relationship as something she can take joy and comfort in. I loved her giving him crap about his effect on the receptionist (because it's basically canon that Jim has a way with the front desk types) and you generally preserving the humor of their relationship. And the metaphor of Jim not disturbing her blanket of fresh fallen snow was lovely.
P.S. I was literally just thinking the other day that Snowfall Kind of Love is a perfect Jam song. And even if it wasn't, more people should know it.
Date: December 24, 2020 08:05 am Title: Snowfall Kind of Love
Girl, this was excellent! So sweet and funny and cute and ugh, just all the feels. I loved all the imagery with the snow and how you connected that to Jim's role in Pam's life. He's like a supporting artist rather than someone she has to work around. "What do *you* want?" Ugh, yes please. You can totally feel Pam's reaction to that along with her, and it's delightful. I, of course, also loved the bit with the Gatorade bottle. "I'm not Creed." LOL. You crushed this, as usual!
Date: December 23, 2020 06:17 pm Title: Always Thought I'd Be Yours
No stop, this was too cute though.
I think I might be as wrapped up in all of the little things that Jim has done as Pam is. The flowers. The extra cream cheese filling.
The entire: "But she knows that he gets like this sometimes. He wants to remind himself that he finally gets to be with her after all those long years apart, to show her the love she deserves and to show her just how damn lucky he is, and to allow them both to see just how perfect they are together." ALRIGHT OKAY DAMN WOMAN.
Everything that Roy never did (namely, being a good man to his woman), and I'm about as giddy as she is.
"Let's be late" NO STOP (don't stop tho).
I love that the plan is to spoil her. Why is he so damn perfect? Have we just done this in our heads? Because I'm here for it.
Date: December 22, 2020 12:58 am Title: Always Thought I'd Be Yours
I love Pam's sheer joy throughout this, and the small reminders that her sheer joy is related to the fact that her bar has been set obscenely low.
Some of the details here are really fun - Andy jumping in with the quartet is perfect, as is Jim trying to convince Pam Dwight got her the dog-and-rose combo.
Just in general, I like the vibe throughout here, this sense of wonder and awe that they're doing this and relief that they finally can and the way they're moving towards full security after insecurity marked their relationship for so long. It's good work.
