This was such an interesting and fun concept. I really enjoyed it! The idea of them both having just come out of awful relationships was very refreshing, and I loved that they still connected right away.
Also, I must say that I really, really liked their first meeting. I love how Pam is all badass and cool as she reads the new guy the rule book, and yet, it takes Jim no time at all to realize that's not really who she is and he immediately starts doing everything he can to get on her good side. And of course, knowing what was going on with Jim in that moment and the messages from Karen make the moment even better. I must admit I kind of wish we had gotten to see more of camp Scampton and the very peculiar people in there, but this was great either way.
Thank you so much for writing and sharing this story with us!

I've really enjoyed this all the way through, and I was so pleased to se the final chapter up. Belated thanks, and sorry it' taken me so long to review. Well done for a great story on a really interesting and fun premise!

You did some really interesting reworking of big canon moments here - reshaping Jim's Casino Night conundrum, pulling in Jan's jealousy of Michael's other lovahs and Jim and Michael's karaoke nights. I thought it worked well - both as nods to canon and for this story. And there are some really fun details here - Jan using the spotlight to interrogate Holly, Dwight being blown away by Angela, Kelly's fangirl moment.
The confrontation with Roy was well done - letting Pam have the moment of standing up for herself instead of giving it to Jim does well to give Pam agency (especially in light of her rather passive approach later in the chapter) and shows her growth. She may *think* she can't, but Jim gets to see for himself that she can, if she lets herself.
Also, thank you for giving Creed his Casino Night due here. He's the hero Jam needed AND the one they deserved.
I'm a big fan of writers circling back to earlier moments, so I particularly enjoyed it all coming back to Brice and the tree again... especially since you already did all the work to foreshadow that it could easily come back. And Jim telling her again to tell him how she felt in the morning was squee-worthy.
I really enjoyed this whole story, JJ! You did well creating romantic moments for Jim and Pam and making them feel three-dimensional all the way through. I'm *really* looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Just to get this out of the way from the off. Roy is a complete ass. Good on Pam for kicking him 100% to the curb and never looking back. Okay that's out of my system.
Wow, this has all the feelings of Casino Night and early S3 all wrapped up into everything. Jim's confession, their kiss, him leaving, Pam being lost without him, all of it. Despite the new setting and relationship, it all has the feel of canon.
But because of the new setting and relationship Pam has just that small bit of extra courage to pick up the phone and give him a call. And it makes all the difference. Lovely to imagine Jim walking into the hospital like that and sitting with her. Then him taking her home and she finally admits to him her feelings as well. Lovely.
Great job with all of this. It was a ton of fun to read and come along for this journey.
Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat.

I have to say I felt sad when I saw "yes" next to completed before I began the final chapter. This was one of those stories that I kinda hoped would go on forever.
This last chapter did not disappoint, in fact everyone throughout the story was in character & it was so well done.
Can't wait to see what you write next!

Awwww! Great story all round and a lovely happy ending. Yay! Thanks for writing this, was a pleasure to read from start to finish.

Yay, an update! This was such a fantastic chapter - Jim just being there for her was so lovely, and he’s so protective and gentle with her here, it’s gorgeous to read 😍 I just love your version of Jim in this so much. I’m so glad that Pam was actually honest with him (even if it took a bit of concussion to get her there) - and then she remembered!! The ‘ask me’ was so so perfect. Ugh and all their dates, him picking her up when she breaks his ugly vase, reading Anne of Green Gables to her, the fourth of July weekend together, the steam and the ‘you’re perfect as you are’…I mean, this was all just such a delight. Pen-a-len-a-ding-dong and Dwight army crawling through the mud for Pam’s keys made me LOL. And is brilliantly Michael and Dwight. Greatly looking forward to the casino night!!

Oh, man. This is a lovely hurt/comfort scene in the hospital here. And I thought you captured the emotional consequences of a concussion well... you see the bit about not being able to let her go to sleep a lot in fiction, but not so much the mental symptoms of it.
(Ooooof. You know who else is having a lousy day? Penny. Wonder if that's why she's not talking to Pam afterwards. You know who's definitely NOT having a lousy day? Michael. And his referring to both Penny and Pam as "a-ding-dongs" is hilarious.)
You did really well executing the explanation of how they have no one else who is as big a part of their lives and exploring the the fundamental loneliness they feel, and how they've made space for each other. The intimacy of the moment is captured well, and how that intimacy creates the context for them to have an honest conversation.
Dwight army crawling through the mud to find Pam's keys is such a Dwight move, in the best sense of it... as is Dwight's round-about compliment of Pam.
The rest of the summer is just really wonderfully imagined and sweet and enjoyable to read. And you managed to work so much great canon/semi-canon in! The mini-golf game! The fireworks! Phyllis throwing out her back! Niagara Falls! Their canonical love of water-based sex!
"It’s all he can think about as she wades in up to her waist, giggling, calling for him like a nymph from the sea." Damn, homie.
I am *desperately* looking forward to what you have planned for Casino Night.

Delightful that Jim is there to take care of her after the concussion. Kind of a scary situation to be sure. However it also brings some simmering feelings more into focus. This isn't just a summer fling for either of them. Lovely that they realize that and start to lean into the relatinship a lot more.
Love how now they're basically inseperable. Trying to find places at camp to fool around, always staying the night with each other. The weekend at the cabin was pretty much perfection. Lots of alone time they made excellent use of.
Now Casino Night shows up and they're in their canon outfits? Um, yes please. Really looking forward to seeing how this one winds up. Great job.

Ah, these two crazy kids and their denial. They're very cute in this gas station scene! Pam rediscovering herself and her sexual desires, Jim trying to spoil her a little and not wanting to end their day together, it's all golden and sweet.
"That has to be the sexiest thing anyone's ever said to me" as both banter and actually meant dead seriously is as Jim as Jim lines get.
THE MOSE PRANK. Brilliant.
The game is a lot of fun. You're really taking full and effective advantage of the ensemble there. (Erin beams. "We could try to win!") Glad to see you following through on the hints that Pam's post-Roy sexual experiences have been less than pleasant, too. I hope Danny ends up getting spiked. Plus, this is just a good picture of the complexities of Pam here - a fully realized three-dimensional character.
"He wants to get her into a bath to clean her cuts, he wants to ask her to stop playing and making it worse, he wants to take care of her." Who do you think you are. And what gives you the right.
I don't know, JJ. I'm just enjoying this a lot. I'm looking forward to the floof.

*Friday night he’d laid in bed, laid awake until 3:00 in the morning, and marveled at how two people could look at each other, right at each other, eyes aligned and minds seemingly so very far apart, how their souls could almost brush and never quite connect until they positively collided.*
This is absolutely beautiful.

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Date: August 14, 2021 10:53 am Title: Seduction by Jellybean
Wow, lots of stuff going on here. Seduction by jellybean. Pam starting the kiss in the car. Katy showing up and flirting with Jim. Everyone else basically teaming up to make Jim and Pam both as uncomfortable as possible.
After that interaction at 2nd base Pam 100% should have thrown a pitch at Danny's head. Thing in a fuckboy like Danny would probably only see it as further evidence that she desperatly wants him in her pants. Can't stand guys like that who think things are just owed to them. Go ahead Jim, pop him one right in the jaw. Serves him right.
The end there with Pam on the mound beat up and battered and probably pissed as hell was really a sight. Good job Jim. Finally rushing to her side as soon as he sees the bat flying toward her. Great chapter.

Ooooh that was a delicious cliffhanger and I am usually not a fan of heights.
Can't wait for another update!

So I’ve just devoured all 8 chapters of this - I love it! The set-up is so much fun (I’m loving over-zealous counsellor Dwight), and I really enjoyed Pam’s first impression of Jim as a cocky out of towner (that she’s also a bit attracted to), into slowly falling for how kind and thoughtful he is…the way you’ve written them is just lovely. And the steam, and her thinking about his hips in this chapter 😍 I’m intrigued by their backstories, I really like the slow reveal of what Pam has been through with Roy, and Jim’s history with Karen, and them finding comfort in each other. And: Penny and Isabel! I feel like you see so little of Pam’s female friends on the show, their inclusion here works brilliantly (their text chats are also hilarious).
This is such a great fic - I’m hooked! Can’t wait for more.

THIS IS SO CUTE.
*“Out there, Michael Scott hired you. In here? Pam Beesly owns you.” *
This is amazing.
Okay I loved every second of this.

Really interesting chapter here. Especially with the comparisons we see between Roy and Jim. Really REALLY glad Pam got out of that when she did. Sounds like Roy is just all sorts of bad news. And maybe not just for Pam. Penny might have to watch her back a bit too.
Besides all that, it was delightful to read how flustered Jim is making her. How she feels warm and safe with him in her room and her bed. Really feels like a lot more than just a summer fling here, which of course I support 100%.
Can't wait for more.

YOU'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol. I am a sucker for including text convos in stories and I love Isabel's struggles with her voice function here. Toooooo real.
Awwwww. I appreciate the fundamental sweetness of this morning scene - Pam enjoying these quiet, intimate, peaceful moments with Jim; Jim caring for an injured Pam both physically and mentally. You've just done really well lettings us get in her head and feel her progress and her damage here. She's just beginning to process her fear, and the extent to which she has to start rebuilding her life. I felt like I understood her hesitance with Jim a lot more here.
You continue to offer some interesting hints at the Beesly family dynamic and at Roy's relationship with said Beeslys that I'm intrigued to see where you're going with.
I thought the details here were good - the Jim-sized shoeprint was a nice touch.
(Also, please tell me we're going to get a Michael-Holly relationship out of this.)

I've really been enjoying this and may or may not have squealed when I saw an update. The storyline is very interesting and the characters sound like themselves in an entirely different universe.
It's a lot of fun to read!

I am so excited about them dating on this borrowed time. Everything is perfect and I love the fluff. I think I have some guesses about who this friend is, and well I am a fan of jealousy and angst followed by kiss and make up :)

Okay, so:
I love this glimpse into young Pam and the mystery her semi-withdrawn character presents to people. Partially because it's a great way to bring Holly into this (and is there a Holly-Michael romance in the offing!) and partially because it does a really great job at showing you who she is without banging you on the head with it. Plus it feels like a real childhood story. Plenty of camp counselors and parents can recount one like this.
The morning after scene with Jim and Pam is just gorgeously written. And very sweet. And very sexy.
Also feels like there are some hints of other stories here - Pam's post-Roy relationships and maybe some interesting dynamics with her parents. VERY intrigued to see where you're going with this next.
