I was wondering why so many fanfiction stories mentioned Pam teaching Jim to drive stick. I haven't yet reached the episode where Jim reveals this was all a ruse to spend more time with Pam. This was a funny oneshot! Only advice would be to correct the dialogue tag punctuation. I copied down this line: 'She giggled, and his heart melted, as it so often did whenever she did just about anything.' That is classic pining Jim! Love to see it!

Love this idea. I've seen it referenced in a few fics before, but never as the entire subject of a fic. Should be a lot of fun.
Good internal voices for both of them. Jim trying to find any excuse to be with her and Pam trying to find bascially anything to spice up the dull monotony of her life right now. Clealy they already have a great friendship with each other. Should be fun to see where we go with this one.

Mark as a devolved version of Jim was a good line from Pam here... and their dialogue in this story in general sounds very much like them.
This is actually kind of a super devious version of Jim here! I feel like this misunderstanding usually gets portrayed as at least initially more accidental than this, and definitely not as Jim trying to draw an intentional contrast with Roy. It's a little more manipulative than he's usually written. Kind of a fun take!

A very engaging opening chapter. I like when the opening sentence makes me smile. I also like dragging Mark into the story.
