Alright, I saw this title and my brain automatically went to Giselle and Robert dancing at the ball. THANK GOD YOU MENTIONED THIS SONG!
Ugh Aly! I love this so much! This is just so fluffy and this is exactly what I pictured Jam running off to get married to be like!
Amazing job!
(And thank God there's no dragons or stepmother to ruin Jam's day)

Um, hi. Loved this. I think my favorite part is Jim making sure they have their first dance. So freaking cuteeeeee.
And you KNOW I love the small little dig at Life cereal too. Haha so good.
"Details, details." I love them.

This was gorgeous! I always really liked the idea of them running away to get married in that episode, just because they can’t wait, and you’ve captured it so well here. I love the way you’ve filled in their conversation that morning, it’s so sweet and domestic, and the way you’ve written Jim’s POV and his wonder at being with Pam is beautiful. The teasing throughout, and Jim’s line on the Burgess sale, feels very them.
Also this bit:
‘He cups her face to bring her down for a kiss. “Come on, Mrs. Halpert. We’re going to be late for our wedding.”
“I’m not Mrs. Halpert yet.”
He winks, “Details, details.”’
Ahhh 😍 And the dancing with Jim’s ipod at the end!
I loved all of this so much.

This was delightful. Starting out how it very easily could have been in canon, but then diverging so they actually make it to Ohio. And all the way there, they are their normal teasing loving selves and it's just great. You can tell that even though it's a courthouse wedding and not what they thought it would be, it doesn't matter, because they're finally married to each other and that's what matters. Loved it. Happy birthday TPB!

You did a really good job building this whole domestic scene for Jim and Pam and his sense of wonder and gratitude at finally being with her and how it would lead to this sort of spontaneous Big Jim Gesture.
Much as I love Niagara, I do think them getting married at the end of Cafe Disco would have been very in character, and you did a good job of illustrating why here.
“No, I always pictured myself with a blonde.” She slaps his arm which makes him laugh and then he glances over at her with a small smile before focusing on the road again. “Did I ever picture myself getting married after work in a courthouse on a random Thursday in Ohio? No. But for the longest time, I had pictured myself marrying you, even when I shouldn’t have been. Even when I knew it was just a pipe dream, because you were engaged to Roy. Even when I was dating Karen, which sounds horrible, I know, but I never saw a future with her. It was always you. That’s all that matters.” How dare you, madam.
And bringing in a dance to close the circle of "swaying isn't dancing" is gorgeous!

UGH ALY!!! All my dreams have come true with this fic. You know this is how I wanted the episode to play out, and now I can pretend it did.
First of all, I love the scene in their house. Pam has the right idea with Life cereal. It feels so "Jim and Pam" that this quiet domestic moment is what makes Jim suggest getting married right away.
"She couldn’t wait to marry him. To see the ring on his finger and know that it’s because of her. To change his title to husband and hers to wife. To finally have his last name." Brb, sobbing.
She leans her head back on the headrest, looking over at him, “Did you ever picture getting married like this?”
“No, I always pictured myself with a blonde.”
HAHAHA. Ugh, I love how playful they are with each other. And them dancing together afterwards is just perfection. Thank you for such a great present!!!
