You've really captured the sheer mind-fried horniness of Pam confronted with Jim in all his glory in the beginning here, with just the right amount of hints that a third-party observer could see his eyes are popping out of his head too.

Again, the use of twitterpated here is amazing. As is this whole interaction. “But I’m not complaining if you aren’t.”

I love Pam seeing Jim in a different light... both as someone who's changed and as someone who was always a little different than she got to see for herself. And how she grasps that something similar has happened for her.

"He secretly wants me." "Can't say I blame him." Tuna. Are you kidding me.

"Just catching up and clearing the air and maybe some mutual orgasms." BEESLY.

Four Non Blondes is an inspired song choice. And feels perfectly in character somehow. Also, this part: "She realized that she desperately wanted Jim to have fun, wanted him to have a good response from her friends and the rest of the bar, and she felt her stomach twist in anticipation." A very Pam sentence and also just such an emotionally clear thread from who she is now to who she was and what they are to each other now to what they were then.

"She caught herself before she could ask what other articles of clothing he’d be responsible for knocking off before the night was over." Probably for the best. Even 10 Years Later Jim probably isn't surviving that.

Holy hell that was intense! I mean the hell with a knife, you'd need a chainsaw to even come close to cutting through all that sexual tension. Not that many would want to try that is. The fact they're both humming so perfectly in tune with each other, flirting like that, it's amazing to read into. Then Jim saying he drove all the way back up just to be with her and then that kiss and lines from canon? For the love of all things JAM please to not keep us waiting! Outstanding chapter!

Ahh you’re back! This story is back! Couldn’t be happier! I love how you write Jim and Pam. They are different people now, but you manage to capture their essence. I love the whole dialogue at the parking lot in the end. I need more! Maybe next week? ;)

To answer your question, you COULD not post for another year and a half because now Jim and Pam have kissed and acknowledged the crazy sexual tension between them and are now spending the night together so they could very well live happier ever after... but I do hope you post again because this was SO WORTH THE WAIT!

I'm just so blown away by how you can write this palpable sexual between Jim and Pam... how it builds and then gets interrupted... Thank God for Penny! She's definitely pushing for Pam to reconnect with Jim and I love it. I love that Pam is loving this roller coaster of emotions too!

Rolando in this story is just perfection. I love his song choice, and his clear message to Pam. But what is SK's deal? It seems more to me than a concerned friend. It also seems that as much as Pam kinda seems convinced that she's just gonna make this about a few orgasms, that's just probably not going to happen...

I loved your flirty texting with Jim and Pam making eye contact in the same room--so believable and also a little bit less intense way to broach some tough topics, like what was going on while Jim was in the bathroom. And it also allows them both to be a little bit flirtatious too...

Great callback to 27 seconds in 27 Dresses and yes, that was such a great scene where they sang Benny and the Jets at the bar in the rain! But the parking lot was fantastic. Jim being super sweet and holding his hand out to Pam, both of them feeling each other out about where the other thinks this night is inevitably going, and when it's so sweetly confirmed--that KISS! Well, Jim, you have no idea how long we've been waiting for that to happen too! Ugh, this is excellent. Please continue! It's sweet and sexy and funny and just so well written!

Pleeeeease tell me you’re still writing this!!! The sexual tension is soooo palpable— and what’s the deal with Sarah Kaya? I don’t love her meddling. But clearly Jim and Pam are still attracted to each other, and now that it’s out that Pam wanted him to know she called off the wedding and that Jim didn’t block her number, what will happen now that they’ve had some alcohol and are lusting after each other? I can also never, ever fall for a beardy Jim Halpert… can’t wait to see this one continue! And I adore the sassy commentary of Pam’s friends! Great AU!

This is a fantastic story, and I'm gripped!!! Desperate to hear what happens next... (that isn't me trying to bully you into a quick update or anything, because that would not be kind. However, a quick update would certainly be very welcome :o]

Great chapter full of tension of the sexual & conversational varieties. It's a good thing SK brought up the text. Pam & Jim would've avoided the "why didn't I ever hear from you again" discussion for ages. I'm still a bit nervous about "Playboy Jim" & his backstory causing issues.

I am also concerned about SK. Her reactions seem to possibly go beyond being protective of Pam. Even Pam's reaction to SK saying ok, invite Jim makes me nervous, "Pam felt a simultaneous lifting and falling of her heart. She didn’t really know what that meant..." Does she want more from SK?

Still such an obvious connection between Pam & Jim, their finding their way back to each other is always the end game I'm pulling for.

Can't wait to see how it all plays out. The chemistry is still there but they live on opposite sides of the country & Pam seems very content with her life.

So despite ten years, the feelings are still there. Lots of fun to see how Pam reacted to Jim being there. Same with Jim. He seems to be just as magnetically draw to Pam as she his what with all the hand holding, hand on her back, and knee touches that is. SK's reaction is interesting to be sure. I get she's the voice of pessimistic reason. However as you've said she and Pam have history. Maybe some jealously creeping in considering how Pam's reacting to Jim.

Finally the truth comes out about that text from so long ago. So in that regard it's nice that SK is there to cut through the usual dance around hard topics route Jim and Pam usually take. Great job as always.
