Aww… this is a wonderful, magical and aww-worthy of a Christmas fic! Don’t even care that I am reading this in July lol. It always a great time to read Christmas story! Wish I can give you a thousand jelly beans but can’t. Thank you!

UGH WW I LOVED THIS ONE!!
Always here for a s3 change-up. Between the Jim and Karen break up, going to see the Christmas lights, running into Penny, and your BEAUTIFUL writing, I can't pick a favorite part!
(Also LOVE the menorah tree ornament lol!)
Great job!

This was so lovely WW! You did so well weaving in the elements so perfectly. I love the CIA backstory and you write this delicious soft angst so well.
Okay but this HURT in the best of ways: "Like an old rubber band, seeing him laugh with someone else in a way that used to be reserved for her, something inside snapped, leaving nothing a proverbial red welt on what had otherwise been a pretty decent evening."
This was such an amazing Christmas fic and I loved every bit of it. Happy Holidays!

I loved this so much. It felt so true to their characters and I adore how Jim went out of his way to make her happy at Christmas, and all the little ways he knew her. Perfection! Your secret santa recipent is so lucky to have gotten such a great story that incorporated all the elements so flawlessly!

Ah, this was such a lovely Christmas treat to read! 😍 I also actually really like the idea that if Jim hadn’t had that last conversation with Pam in Benihana Christmas, he might have got there a bit quicker with Karen (which was sort of where I thought he was heading after the whole rebound conversation with Michael…) It’s really neat. But: there are so many things to love in this! The way you’ve written Pam’s pining and heartbreak, the return of Jim who’d do anything for her (I especially liked him admitting he was being an asshole about her present, because: YES), and his immediate concern for her and attempts to lift her mood…I think I might struggle to re-watch Benihana Christmas for a while with this dreamy Jim in mind. I also love Penny’s appearance, and was lol’ing at her attempts to play along with the Georgia lie, and the fact that Jim saw through it instantly. And then Jim coming back at the end!! Ahhh. This was all so, so good.

If I had read the list of elements you had to work in first, I would have thought it would result in a somewhat disjointed story. It would take me at least five! I felt heartbroken for Pam and the way Jim went about turning her heartbreak around was just so...Jim. This was a pleasure to read, it simply, beautifully, flowed.
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! :)

Super sweet and written with the same wonderful flair as one would from a WW fic. Think I loved how you weaved in the knitted item the most. Merry and happy to you.
Author's Response: Thank you, Max!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

This was such a sweet story! Reading what all the elements you had to work in after, you did it so seamlessly. Really nice work with this!

I love this backstory for how the CIA prank came about. It definitely feels like there must be more to it than the sort of casual way it's presented in the show, and this way it ends up in and of itself being something of a metaphor for their relationship.
My heart really hurts for Pam in the early stages of this. That's just an incredible bummer of an ending to that day for her.
Okay, obviously I was mildly spoiled both by the genre and the author, but it was fun seeing something clearly happening with Jim solely through Pam's POV, not having the benefit of him detailing exactly what he's up to or her really having much time to reflect on it. It lets us embrace the magic of the evening more, keeps us in the moment.
I will assume the menorah Christmas tree ornament was a gift for me, and I thank you for it.
Okay, A+ sistering Penny. You may not quite be ready to prank Dwight, but you did your level best with a bizarre situation.
I kinda like having Jim leave and come back again at the end... partially because it's a great use of the CD, but also just to show that yes, they're still the same goobers they are in canon, and still need a couple of chances to get this right.
Well done with this one! Clearly Miss Lydia is a good muse.
Author's Response: Thank you, friend!! And I hope you enjoyed your menorah Hanukkah gift. Sorry it's late.

Ahh, that was SO satisfying! I love the reveal of him having broken up with Karen and that he was still sort of feeling Pam out all evening. He wanted it to be her choice.
"Should you choose to accept" was brilliant.
*Like an old rubber band, seeing him laugh with someone else in a way that used to be reserved for her, something inside snapped, leaving nothing a proverbial red welt on what had otherwise been a pretty decent evening. *
Great metaphor. Love it.
*Of course Jim would wear mittens that his coworker knitted for him. They weren’t perfect, but he wore them anyway, and there was something so incredibly endearing about it all.*
This is so emblematic of the Jim we know and love having not fully disappeared, what a great little bit here (and working in a recipe element!)
This was so sweet, great job!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Love a S3 fix-it fic and this one delivers. Really gotta feel for Pam there at the start. She's lonely and deep in her own world of angst due to everything that's gone on. Yes she had fun planning the party with Karen, but past the surface of that, there's still all the emptiness she's feeling.
That is until she runs into Jim. He really does know her and despite the rift between them, their connection remains. So begins their Christmas adventure. The rich neighborhood lights were fun, but not as much as that snowball fight. 100% on board with Pam starting that and Jim not getting even one shot in. The snowman collapsing on his was just perfect.
Same goes for decorating her tree. Then in one of the cheesiest tropes of all time, they're interuppted by Penny like that. Gah.
However he comes back. He's done running and so he's back. And so now they're finally together. Such a wonderful moment for their kiss there too. And once they're really together they start planning a prank. That's the JAM we know and love. Beautiful.
Such a great fic. Loved all of it.
Author's Response: Thank you, Warrior! You know I can't resist a good trope, especially in a Christmas fic!

“Well Im in a pencil skirt, so… keep rolling, buddy.” This is one of my top fave lines written into a fic.
This was so, so, sooo good. Pam’s skepticism of Jim’s offer while also not being able to turn him down is perfect. And then their almost-kiss in the apartment with the christmas tree lights glowing and music playing and everything was magical? Ugh I could die. Amazing. If this is how you write when youre sleep deprived from a newborn, then please have more babies. Thanks.
Author's Response:
How about instead of more babies I just write more fics while sleep deprived?
Thank you, lady!!
