Hot! And all the festive detail has made me feel Christmassy all over again.
Thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you for the review and nice it's bought you that Christmassy glow in the mire that is much of January!

Aw, this was lovely! The way you’ve written Pam’s enthusiasm about Christmas and Jim’s delight in going along with it just because it makes her happy is just ridiculously sweet 😍 This is the Christmas we should’ve got in season 4. And then lumberjack Jim!! Thank you for this. I especially enjoyed him having to stop a frisky Pam to make sure his romantic plan could be properly carried out: very funny, and very Jim. (“Beesly! Bad girl! Enough!” cracked me up). Their banter throughout is v cute - them making up dramatic backstories for all the people in the infomercials is also wonderfully them - and I love the idea of Jim taking her stargazing. And the steam with the Christmas tree!! This was just perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you! I wanted to not rush the steamy bit in the middle too much, but equally, wanted it to be more of an allusion rather than full on graphic (happy to leave that to the expert writers in that field). It's so fun writing them in season 4 as it's all so fresh and new and they've just got what they both wanted. Really glad you enjoyed it.

Well you had me assured this would be a whole lot of fun right from the summary.
I am 100% with you that Pam is all about the Christmas season, that she would delight in being able to decorate two places and mostly that seeing Lumberjack Jim would set her on fire and distract her from the that.
And that Jim would do anything to make her happy. That trip to see the stars was a perfect and magical Jim-gesture.
Okay I'm not usually into fics that have bondage scenes but when it's Jim tied up with Christmas lights, well that is my exception. This whole scene was easy and very enjoyable to envision.
Okay, here's where I'm with Jim -Die Hard not a Christmas movie but sorry Pam, neither is Fargo but I loved how you worked this element in. And that they did exactly what Pam wanted.
Great writing and scene setting throughout. I such had a great time in your winter wonderland.
Happy 2022 to you.
Author's Response: Thanks as ever, Max. So pleased you enjoyed this, always means a lot when I know you've enjoyed it. Glad you liked the Observatory, I thought that was a very Jim thing, too.

I mean, who wouldn’t want lumberjack Jim for Christmas? :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I certainly wouldn't say no! (may not fit easily under our tree though, might have to find somewhere else to keep him, lol)

I have very much accepted the general fanon that Pam is a huge Christmas person and that her first Christmas with Jim is the first time she's really been able to indulge it, and it is adorable the way it plays out here.
The stargazing is just ridiculously romantic, and the successful mutual seductions are a lot of fun. Jim literally ends up being the gift under (or tied to) her tree!
Fargo as a Christmas movie is a nice touch. The Coen brothers are well worth marathon-ing.
Nice job with this one! Great to see you writing again...
Author's Response:
Thanks so much Joe, and good to be writing again. Working on something a bit more angsty at the moment too. I hadn't thought of Jim as the gift itself but that is a great simile (or metaphor... or analogy... trying to decide which fits better. I googled it, still can't decide.)
We love a bit of Coen Bros in our house.

"And when the mistletoe had been used that year, all he could think about were Pam’s lips on his rather than the person he was actually kissing." UGH, I love that line so much.
Grc, this was adorable! I love how you incorporated the elements, and I absolutely LOVE Lumberjack Jim. I may or may not search for Lumberjack JK photos after this...
SO cute!
Author's Response: Thanks Em! We may need more Lumberjack Jim in the future... I know the recipient of this fic exchange does like him with the accessorised beard...

Lumberjack Jim? yes, please!
This was very sweet (and sexy!) and I loved the mood you created here. I love the game you gave them where they make up backstories for the TV people, haha…
(and no apology necessary, there’s always room for a good Die Hard debate ;)
nice work!
Author's Response:
Thank you TD (apparently my mind twin ;)) I wanted to have some fun with them and I figured the TV people backstories was exactly the sort of thing they would do.
I'm still on the fence on whether it's a Christmas film...

That was fun. Another great look into what S4 Christmas could have been like. They're still firmly in the lovey dovey stage of their relationship and it's wonderful. 100% Pam would decorate both apartments and Jim is right there to encourage her with both. He may balk at Halloween, but I think he has the good sense not to mess with Christmas.
Jim tied up to the Christmas tree by the lights was a fun visual. As was everything that happened afterwards. Oh Jim, I had such high hopes for you. Pam has it right. Die Hard is very much a Christmas movie.
Great banter between them. Lots of fun moments. Really well done.
Author's Response: Haha! Thanks Warrior. We know that Pam is a planner and this situation is no exception. Jim would never mess with Christmas!
I did go fairly light on the tree bondage (not everyone's cup of tea) but I think those who like that sort of thing can, indeed, conjure up a clear visual.
I really am on the fence about Die Hard as a Christmas movie, can't make up my mind at all. Glad you liked the banter, they are always such fun to write.

Oh my goodness, this was too cute. I love reading about Jim making the holiday special for Pam. You know she makes it so special for him already, and it's just delightful to read about everything he does for her.
Author's Response: Thanks TPB - glad you enjoyed it! I went full fluff on this one. (I do love a bit of JAM fluff.)
