I loved it! From time to time, I think the sentences could have been a little sharper, especially when one character was thinking about another. Other than that, a wonderful back-and-forth, understated romance between Jim and Pam. My favourite mode for them!
Author's Response:
It's always a thrill to get a review after much time has past since it was posted. And at a time when I could use the pick me up so thank you so much.

Very cute! Honestly did expect Jim getting punched so it was nice to end there ;)
Author's Response:
Now you know I would never let any harm come to him.
Thanks for your review.

Or maybe just maybe it was… so good! I love how thoughtful Jim is - here in MTT and on the show. Also love the d84;a039;d84;a039;d84;a039; Separations! Cute!
Author's Response:
He's a keeper - right?
Love that you noticed and mentioned the symbolic icon heart breaks and how Jim fixed the real life one at the end of the story.
Thanks for the sweet review. Always warms my own heart to hear.

This was absolutely lovely, Max.
I was thinking Caddyshack for the film but maybe that was a gopher?
Author's Response: Thanks so much. After missing the buzz from doing a winter holiday fic, I felt the need to put a little something out there for this holiday. Glad you enjoyed.

So this was adorable. To give us the taste of newly friends Jim and Pam and how quickly they hit it off with each other. Oh Jim you were so far gone with her from the start. Getting Jellybean (loved his name for it too) and holding onto him for so long. The overanalyzing he does is so classic Jim.
Kinda feel for Pam there on Valentines Day. How much she wants any shred of affection and how it's killing her that there's none to be found. Until Jellybean shows up on her desk. That last line though? Kill me now. I've got all sorts of headcanons firing off now about that and I'm very ok with all of them. Nice job with this one. Sad to say I'm not placing the movie though.
Author's Response:
Oops, spaced on responding. Not like me.
Yup Jim was so good at the overanalyzing but it is understandable not knowing what to do with all his feelings in light of her being "taken" especially by someone who he knew could never love her or appreciate her like he did.
Seriously - love to see more of your thoughts for a follow-up. That the last line sparked what you envisioned next was exactly what I was going for. Maybe I'll put up a challenge once I'm done working through my noms.
Thanks again for the review.

*As long as he could bring a smile back to her face, whatever would happen tomorrow would be worth it. *
Ah, S2 Jim. That really is him in a nutshell (acorn?) isn't it?
This was so, so cute. And it makes me happy to think Jim got her something after all.
Happy V Day!
Author's Response:
It is right. Cute. He was sooooo smitten. And yeah - I imagined it was a tough thing for him to watch and that she had chosen to be with someone that would forget or ignore her on V day - so I fixed it.
Thanks for the review.

Okay, this is the sort of fluff you want to shoot directly into your veins.
There's just a lot I like about this - how well it illustrates the immediate connection Pam feels with Jim long before she's prepared to call it what it is, Jim absolutely recognizing how immediately smitten he is and needing to do *something* about it, Jim's clear motivation just to see her smile again, and of course the happy ending-ening of the deeply upsetting conclusion of Valentine's Day.
Also, the image of smol Pam just kind of hanging out with a chipmunk in her lap is too cute. If Jim wasn't already in love, that would have absolutely pushed him over the top. Jellybean has a lot to live up to.
And I absolutely adore the ending of this. Those last two lines are Dundie-worthy.
Author's Response:
SO I completely spaced on responding to these. Been busy with noms and other chapters and getting over what I hope is just a cold.
Thanks again for reading this over early and still taking the time review.
YOu know me and my fluff...and my little side stories.
I'm glad to have stuck the landing. From your lips to the Dundle-gods ears.
Thanks again.

You, my friend, always have wonderful "behind-the-scenes" ideas and bring things to life in such a lovely way! I love the chipmunk story and that ending also gave me all the feels. Loved this!
Author's Response:
Thanks - coming from 'Cupid' herself, I'm honored as you think so.
Always appreciate getting your reviews. Thanks.
