“He says it is as smooth as our grandmother’s porcelain dolls.” Made me cackle
Is it weird to say that I kind of loved Mose? Sometimes he’s a little bit weirdly sweet and you captured that so well!
And ofc, the way you write Jim and Pam is incomparable. The way they love each other and love loving each other is so palpable in your writing. I adore it and you and this. And Rex Manning.

Really enjoyed this! I really felt the warmth of their new reality, which was further heightened by the references to their past. (Goodness... that sounds formal. You know what I mean. Basically, I felt it... :o) )
Loved the dialogue. And Mose speaks! The ending was lovely , too. A really sweet and satisfying way to finish.
Thanks!

DC, I’ll be giggling about the llama and Shirley for the rest of the day lol
Mose and the porcelain dolls is so on brand.
Angela's "...everything I deserve to have" line... chef's kiss.
I just love how you can take us on such a ride while still perfectly sprinkling in how connected Jim and Pam are before leaving us with a swoon-worthy Jim gesture. The way he pauses at the keyboard before looking at her fully… so good!

I really enjoyed reading this. It was fun and sweet. The dialogue was all just perfect. I love Jim's new years eve idea.

Ohhhhhh. I googled him. I remember this now! That's winding back the clock far further than I would care to admit!

This was great but I have absolutely no idea who Rex Manning is. Didn’t / hasn’t made it across the Atlantic. Still enjoyed the story a lot though.

Oh this is good. I felt the frustration at having to help Dwight and on top of it Angela not being nice at all! This is a “if he wanted to he would” scenario ladies! Loved this story. Leave it to Jim to salvage the night.

This one was a lot of fun. As always, I'm so impresses with the way you weave emotions together. We get the playful banter with Jim and Pam there at the beginning but just a dash of some of the feelings from past years. Then the incredulity Jim feels with doing something with Dwight paired with the friendship Pam feels for their erstwhile co-worker.
What I really liked is how you captured the interactions with Pam and Angela. How Pam's not going to take the judgement and snide remarks from Angela laying down like she might have in the past. Considering Angela's own hypocrisy I really liked it when Pam called Angela out on that and took her down a peg or two.
You also got Mose just right as well. Bless his poor simple soul. I got a big laugh out of Dolly Llama which almost immediately transitioned into feeling bad for Pam when she found out the tickets had been eaten. After all the backstory you gave us of her previous New Years the thought that this big thing she was so looking forward to is now not going to happen was just crushing. No wonder she'd want to go home and just soak in the tub.
Then comes Jim in true Jim fashion. Clearly, he listened to her and did something so simple and yet so profound for her. All the feels right there.
Wonderful job with this one.

Oh Rexy, you're so sexy.
Great fic, and GREAT inspiration. I've been working on Dunder Mifflin Records, so when I saw this title come up it made me very happy!
You may have missed Christmas, but you're in plenty of time for Rex Manning Day!
