Oh God, not IHOP!!!!!!
Good call, Jim. Waffle House is a great option!
Author's Response:
I don’t think they’ll be back at IHOP don’t worry!
Thanks for all of your reviews!

Ugh, so stinking cute! What a great way to round up this story!
Author's Response: Still one more chapter to go!

Oh God... Michael isn't original, lol!
AW, I loved this! Poor Pam, stuck in this predicament... and Poor Jim, being forced to leave her in this predicament!
Author's Response: At least she wasn’t there for too long!

I'm now craving a Mimosa, I wonder why...
Aw, that cute little foreshadow to Jam's own family growing from Betsy! So cute!
Author's Response: Haha you may or may not have inspired the mimosas 🤣

This was extremely cute (please disregard my now-deleted review where I totally skipped a sentence).
I love that this was her first weekend in NYC. It sets a precedence of how important (and overall fluffy) their relationship is during this part of their timeline!
Author's Response: Ah thanks so much!

These stories were so fun to read. You really have a knack for dialogue!
Author's Response: Ah thank you so much! I really enjoyed writing all the dialogue, particularly for Michael! Glad you enjoyed these 😊

Good reasons indeed!
From Tom and Pete who had me thinking of Fred and George here to Michael to distractions in the kitchen to orange juice baths (this just happened to me with water just the other day).
Gotta point out I adore how Pam knows Michael so well she'd in tune with why he orders in a medley of languages.
Fun stuff.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review and glad you enjoyed it!

"And this is the one restaurant that we can guarantee we won't see Dwight at. You know how he feels about IHOP Pam." LOL. This is a deep cut reference.
""I mean there's one cute one, but he works in HR, which is kind of a drag." BEESLY. And then the double-hit with Stanley! Fatality.
""We need to stop at the drugstore on the way home, I took my last pill this morning. So it won't be practice baby making if we forget." Uh oh. I've heard this story before.
"Fat Halpert? Fat Albert? Fat Tuesday? God, I shouldn't have to explain everything to you guys." There's some *really* good Michael dialogue in this story.
"It's the International House of Pancakes, he's being international." Awwww. Pam just gets him.
So all their pancake shenanigans led up to the creation of Cece? Love it.
Nice job with this one!
Author's Response:
Glad you got that IHOP reference! It was one of the first reasons for me writing this!
So glad you liked the Michael dialogue, it means a lot!! Glad it came across so well.
Thank you so much for all of your reviews and your lovely comments! So happy you’ve enjoyed this!! Just make sure you get your pancakes in next year!

Okay. This is both sexy and freakin' adorable. AND they used up a bunch of those boxes of pancakes!!!!
Author's Response: Haha they did. I wonder what happened to the rest though??

Okay, this hidden phone conversation right under Charles' nose is too cute.
'"What do you think we can do for," Michael dug his wallet out of his pants and rifled through it. "$47?"' Oh, Michael. VERY Michael. So Michael I kinda share Pam's desire to strangle him.
Yeah, you can see why this one would've left a scar on Pam. Michael does have a thing about forcing her to make absurd amounts of food on short notice...
Author's Response: I definitely think this one would have tipped Pam pretty far. I had a lot of fun writing Michael in this chapter, but also wish I could have had the brunches Pam was planning

"It was Pete's fault. Somehow, it's always Pete's fault."
Love Betsy going all out for the March birthdays events. I would love to attend this - breakfast foods AND college basketball? Sign. Me. Up.
Yikes. Starting to see a pattern here, but at least they learned from their New York experience. And now they've picked up another valuable lesson - Tom and Pete are not to be trusted.
Author's Response: Tom and Pete are never to be trusted. It’s true. Especially not with kitchen pans.

Okay, first off, why was I never informed about this Pancake Day thing? We should have never had a Revolution.
Lol at Jim immediately stumbling into an awkward moment about his last New York trip. And Pam finding the exact diner and arranging it as a surprise is *very* Pam. Too cute. Oh, Jim. You are a little boy at heart. Your eyes were just bigger than your stomach.
Author's Response: Oh I am shook. You really should know about pancake day. I really feel it could be in ‘everday’s a holiday’. I feel it’s something Michael would take it as seriously as I do.

All they want is some pancakes! Really! You captured Michael really well here. How excited he would be to see some people from the office on the weekend. Oh Jim and Pam, sometimes being nice can be a bit much. Learn from this one. Go over to Michael, say hi, refuse offers to sit down, and get a table out of eyesight. Although I also thought Michael was fairly restrained about the Mardi Gras beads. Many times while the festival is going on along Bourbon St, when a young woman accepts said beads she then also flashes the bead giver. Still, it's in public and I have no doubts that both Jim and Pam would have said no had he suggested that.
And through it all, there at the end, the perfect reason they forgot about stopping at the drug store. Nice way to work that in. Though the line about Waffle House was great too.
Tons of fun with this one. The many pancake misadventures. Delightful through it all.
Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat.
Author's Response:
I had no idea about the beads and girls flashing! I wish I'd have known that as it's something Michael would DEFINITELY have asked Pam to do! Probably Jim as well tbh!
I'm glad you liked the last line about Waffle House - that was actually the whole reason for me writing this story. It all developed out of a terrible pancake experience and them wanting waffles instead. And then when I realised Banana Pancakes talks about baby making, and the timeline of this chapter, well it all kind of fell into place!
Thanks for all your reviews and jellybeans. I'm so glad you've enjoyed this one!

So I knew I would enjoy this. Any story that has jam exploring my past home i almost always do. I know exactly the restaurant but being I lived there and it was a pretty touristy spot I’ve only been there once to bring the kids. And I did not have pancakes but those fruity pebbles ones sound good.
Sorry to say while I still lived there in 2009 I never did go to the sports museum.
Anyway you described a really fun day had Jim’s eyes not been bigger than his stomach. And up until then it seemed like they were having a pretty good time.
Looking forward to why else pancakes are off the menu for them.
Author's Response:
Ooof! I hope I did this justice for you! I spent a lot of time in Google Maps and researching places to get it as accurate as I could, but living in London and not having been to NYC for 6 years, it was a bit tricky!
Thank you so much for your review and I hope you enjoy the rest of their adventures in pancaking!

So this was just delightfully wicked. The misadventures in breakfast was a treat. How they couldn't keep their hands off each other. They're so far gone to each other and I'm very okay with all that. Then the third time it felt like they really were going to try, but then Pam comes in like that? Yeah there was no way any pancakes were going to be had that morning. Loved it.
Author's Response:
Hehe glad you liked this one!
At least they've learnt their lesson now and won't be making anymore pancakes!

Nice look into the workings of the Michael Scott Paper company here. I love that Pam isn't going to take a fall for Ryan. They may be co-workers in the crazy idea that is the MSPC, but she doesn't have to like him.
I loved the line "We can't have two crazies in this relationship. It's my turn at the moment, you can have yours when I'm in a proper job." Even though they're not in the same room, they still have their banter, and it's delightful.
Trust Michael to have the biggest idea and no clue about the execution of it all. That worked so well.
I liked this one.
Author's Response:
Thanks so much! I had a lot of fun writing this one, I really like writing dialogue for Michael.
I'd always wondered how the pancake luncheon came about, and why it was a 'luncheon', so this was my attempt at explaining it!

Tom and Pete just don't want to grow up, do they? I imagine Betsy royally reamed them out after Jim left for hospital. Probably made them do all the dishes too. Serves them right.
Anyway, other than that, this just seems like a lovely time. One big family celebration to check all the boxes. Up until the crepe pan incident, it sounded like a warm loving and wonderful time.
Author's Response:
I agree! I feel there would be a lot of telling off going on in that house!
I was kinda jealous of the brunch they had. I wish I could have all of that.

Ok so this is adorable. I love that Pam went to all the trouble of finding the diner for him. Just a really sweet gesture on her part. Jim acting like a big kid and ordering all the pancakes 100% tracks for me. Sometimes he gets a little too excited for his own good. Good thing he had Pam there to take care of him. Lovely.
Author's Response:
Thank you!
I kinda thought Pam would want to show Jim a really good first weekend in her new city, especially considering his last trip there. And I definitely think Jim can be a big kid when he's excitable.
Thanks for the review!

Okay I loved all of this. My favorite part was probably the kitchen, though... super hot and very Them. You really did a great job with the Jam banter throughout. Nice work!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it all!
Thanks so much for the review

First of all, happy pancake day. I've just planned a belated pancake day celebration with my friend - who loves pancake day as much as you I should add.
Congrats on getting this up in time, you absolutely smashed the deadline you set yourself. I feel like I need to check up on your kids with the amount of writing you got done in the last seven days ;) maybe I will be showing up at your door after all..
Your writing has come on leaps and bounds. I really love this story and I'm so glad others get to experience it - I'm still your number one fan though, nobody is taking that away from me.
I am indeed a terrible beta and it's a job I take very seriously.
I'm giving you some jellybeans, but just know that they also act as pancakes - today only!!
Now go an indulge yourself in pancakes, god knows you've deserved them!
Author's Response:
Thank you, thank you, you're far too kind. Can I get an encore?
Thank you for all your jellybeans, pancakes and being my number one fan
