And the rest is history 😊
This is so sweet and cleverly done with the two different versions in one. I like the parallels and the differences of each.
Keep on writing!

Happy birthday YB22!
This is a fun experiment with structure - two fics in one! I think you've given Pam some realistic choices along the way. The smut isn't pre-planned, it just... happens as the result of one choice piling on another, and the same lines can be chaste or very not chaste pretending on the context. Both of these dates feel like dates they could and will have, which I think makes the structure work even better.
Author's Response:
Thank you so much for your review! Hopefully the experiment was a success!
Yeah, nothing was meant to be preplanned, it was all just small little things, like what Pam saw first in her wardrobe and Jim bringing flowers that needed a full vase inside the house to get him indoors. I wanted it to be a little like the movie Sliding Doors, so this was the way I thought I could achieve that

Wow! This was amazing! Not just to get the two different dates in one fic, but the way you blended everything together. That was beyond impressive. Both of them have the feeling of Jim and Pam reconnecting. One emotionally, the other physically but both versions offering the healing both of their hearts need. In both versions their brave and bold. They're finally open about everything they should have been open about for a long time. It's all just masterfully done.
Bravo! Just bravo!

First of all, you.
I’m speechless. I’ve had hours to craft words and I still can’t. Everything about this is perfect.
From a reader point of view, the layout, plotlines, writing and overall idea of the fic is incredible and I’m so utterly proud of you. You know I’m your number one fan, but this is my favourite! Maybe that’s a little biased? Which brings me to..
What a lovely blooming surprise. The execution, you didn’t let it slip at all!! (Twss?) the way you sent it to me as if it was just another rec AND I DIDN'T BLINK AN EYE!! I might have to do another review when I’m not birthday buzzed and bloody speechless! I feel like I need to write a 10,000 word essay into why I’m so appreciative of this whole set up.
I guess I have a while to plan a return, but unfortunately I’m not going to do any better than this. Unless I show up on your doorstep with JK??
From your forever grateful, slightly older, number one fan
Author's Response:
Well, first off, I’m incredibly happy you like this one. Would have been kinda awks if you didn’t *insert awakes Michael face gif here*
Second, this was all your idea really, even if you didn’t know it. So really the thanks should be to you.
Third, I think I’ve blown my load on this story. Twss. So I don’t think you’ll be getting another surprise fic any time soon.
Fourth and most importantly, only JK will do as a birthday present. You have 8 months. Go.

This is so good. The going in and out from racy Jim and Pam and the date Jim and Pam. I feel that’s my conundrum all the time whether to keep them rated PG or not!
Also this like killed me - “ You were right in front of me, and I'd never felt further from you.”
I feel there’s a “That’s what she said” in there when they’re talking about the holes at the mini golf place
Picturing Jim in a soft sweater sounds delicious.
Thanks for uploading in one shot.
