There's something very lovely about him taking her to an Olive Garden. Idk why, I just like the detail.

So, this whole fic is wish fulfillment wrapped in fluff, with a great big heaping pile of steam on top. And I am in no way sorry for it. Starting out with Jim still being on cloud 9 from what I will always call Butterfly Day to seeing Pam there at the office and all the rising tension as the evening goes on. Yet even as they're growing closer together, they're still them. Getting fun plastic rings, just being there for each other, all wonderful.
Then of course it all heats up once they're back at Jim's place. That Jim is so dedicated to her and she's so taken by it was wonderful. That she finally has someone looking out for all of her wants and needs I'm sure is something monumental for her. Also, pretty hot the way they were talking to each other in the midst of things.
And Jim being able to counter the drunken 1am call so deftly shows how much he cares. That he's not going to let anything come between them. Now that he has her, he can let go of some of the boy-ishness about him and take care of her as the man she needs and deserves.
Then after the basketball game. More of the mature Jim coming out there. Not being afraid of Roy. Defending her from him like that. And Jim punches Roy like most of us have always wanted. Bravo! Loved it.
The ending bits with him proposing and setting an immediate wedding date are even better. Make sure she knows perfectly that she'll be treated right from now on.
Outstand job. Loved all of it.

This was so great. I loved their conversation so much in the first part of the story. You nailed season 2 Jam, and it was even better since Roy was on his way out of the picture. And I loved the “proposal” so much. Very fanfiction-y and I mean that as the highest praise. Please do more of this!

Loved the confrontation at the end, and Jim really putting Roy in place, but my favourite line:
