A story in which apparently nothing happens, but in which so many emotions are described. That was very good. Simple. Perfect.
Author's Response: Aw, thank you! 'Stories in which nothing happen' does seem to be my stock-in-trade haha! I'm glad you liked it. :)

Excellent writing. This really demonstrates what should have been seen in the transition from Jim and Pam longing to be together and them having dated for a few months. The hesitancy, especially from Pam's side, and the process of undoing all of the insecurity and problems she experienced in her previous relationships, could have dragged out the romantic tension for a bit longer, in my opinion. I thought the characterisation of Jim was particularly strong, especially in the passage about the Philadelphia sports teams. As someone who knows nothing about either game, I found those passages the most engrossing and believable. I also thought the imagery of Pam from Jim's perspective; Jim's adoration and yet his ability to see her flaws and insecurities. The double entendres were laugh-out-loud hilarious. A great piece! I will be using this to help flesh out my own characterisation of Jim and Pam.
Author's Response: Aw, wow, thank you so much for such a lovely review! :) All the things you've picked out - Jim's rambling sports thoughts, double entendres, etc - were the things I struggled the most with writing, so I'm so glad you enjoyed them! :D

This is such a wonderful piece! Not sure if you intended it this way, but if feels like the morning after their first night together. The specter of the past is still there. They're still sort of figuring out how to go from being best friends to more than that. At the same time the way forward is clear. Jim being very okay with Pam leaving some of her stuff at his place and wanting to do the same. Bodes well for their future together. What I really love is that they're back to bantering with each other. Their conversation just feels easy, like it should be. And in leaning into that, they discover that this new phase of their relationship will be the best they'll ever have.
Great job.
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much for such a lovely comment! I'm glad you like it. :D They're still figuring out how to move forward after everything they've been through, but they both want to move forward and they're holding hands as they take those first few steps, and that's how we know it's going to be okay! :)

Now that's the Channukah gift I wanted! So glad you've joined us over here!
"Michael’s track record of wrangling, roping, lassoing and otherwise Rawhide-ing the team into working overtime" is a fun line.
"he’d been at least halfway to convincing Dwight that Phyllis was the last living member of the Romanov dynasty until Kevin had opened his dumb mouth." Write this fic.
I always liked the Jim voice in this fic - both entertaining and feels very accurate to his internal monologue. He sounds like a normal guy who's just blown away by the woman he's in love with. And the image you paint of Pam drinking tea in his bed through his eyes is lovely. Also, him blue-screening over Pam wearing his clothes is hilarious and so true.
Love the banter between them here! Oh, and the transition from him being giddy about her invading his space to him recognizing the color of the mug to them accidentally stepping into an awkward moment is well done.
Yeah, this is just a really good slice of life. Covers a lot of ground very organically AND very quickly.
So glad we've got you here now! Welcome to MTT!
Author's Response: Aw, shucks, thanks so much! Kinda crazy that you got so much food for thought out of Jim's inner ramblings; I started writing this story about a year ago and chipped away at it a paragraph or a sentence at a time for months on end, so I was totally exhausted by the time I finally finished and posted the fic. I guess it was worth the effort to get such a lovely review! :)

Written really well and can totally believe this is how the start of their relationship could have been. The want to be more & cross boundaries but the timidity of finally getting there or going too far, too soon and the ghosts of their past still haunting.
Loved it, thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! And yes, timidity is a really good way of putting it, they're both eager for more but unsure of how to get there. That's a really nice way to sum it up! Thank you for such a thoughtful comment. :)
