This was so cute!! Absolutely adorable! You’re an amazing author, and also it may just be to mentions pam’s mother, but i loved the Harrisburg mention!! I used to live there!! It’s awesome. Anyways i’m rambling, but this was seriously so cute, i’m such a sucker for christmas fics.
Author's Response:
Oh thank you so much, that's so very kind of you!!
Glad you liked the Harrisburg mention!
Thank you so much for your lovely review!

🥹 that’s all I can say to possibly describe how beautiful, poetic, and just… earth shatteringly complete that was.
Also I’m a sucker for Jim kissing Pam on top of the head so I’m stealing that shit for R&R but I’ll give credit where credit is due of course. d84;a039;
Author's Response:
Oh you!! That's so lovely, thank you!!
And you go ahead and steal it (not that its mine haha!), whatever it takes to get more R&R!!

I love that sweet angsty tension… as long as it gets resolved. Also, too bad Kelly could never get over Ryan. I actually thought her and Daryl would’ve been cute if they had stuck with that storyline.
So cute that Jim still goes to her when he hears her in distress. The heart wants what it wants.
Beautiful as always!
Author's Response: Well thank you! You know angst isn't my forte, so glad it worked!

Ahh that was soo cute!! Love love love. The snow, the casual "you", the Santa letter, THE KISS. Ahh filled my heart with some much warmth. Just so much fluff it was perfection. It has been an absolute joy to read old chap! A festive cheery pip to you.
Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! So happy you liked it! Toodle pip kind sir

Aww! 🥰
Very sweet as of they were in a hallmark movie.
I did find it interesting that Jim’s dad thought that Pam was the other one and he had never seen Jim that happy before. I would actually to see this story from Jim’s POV. Plus perhaps a New Years bucket list story. 🤔
Author's Response:
I still love that you say the 'other one' you're too funny
New Year's Bucket List has just been posted!
Happy new year and thank you for all your reviews and support this year!

Well, no cabin in the mountains, but that's okay. I'm sure she was all sorts of surprised to see him standing there at her door.
Finally, some good honest communication between the two of them. Kinda figured Jim's headspace was probably just as turned around as Pam's had been the past few days. At least he had the wherewithal to realize he'd been sending her mixed signals. Getting told off from his folks probably helped out a good deal in that regard. Still, the reward of honesty is they get together on Christmas and that's just all sorts of lovely.
Also, loved that Jim came in wearing the red flannel shirt. Now it really is just like a Hallmark movie. Haha, suck it Kelly!
This has all been great fun. A lovely Christmas S3 fix it fic that hit the nail on the head for a whole host of reasons. Thanks for writing and sharing it with all of us.
Happy Christmas!
Author's Response:
The red flannel shirt was all for you! Can't believe I had thought of that, so thank you for the prompt!
So happy you like this one, it's been very dear to my heart!
Thanks for all your wonderful reviews and support this year, it means a lot!

Just catching up with this story, How brilliant is this! Absolutely revelling in it. I want to wrap this story around me like a lovely warm blanket. More please!

Hahaha East17? You’ll frighten the Americans! :D Love this playlist though. And this story.
Author's Response: Well thank you very much!! And 30 years later, I think it's about time they got to know Brian Harvey, don't you??

I don’t know what to think of Jim and the other one
calling in sick twice. Something does seem a bit off.
Then again if Jim really was sick then it would explain why it took him so long to get back to Pam. When I’m sick all I want to do is sleep and tune out the world. 🤷r05;a92;a039;
It is interesting that Pam calling off her wedding wasn’t on her regrets list. It shows how she was truly indifferent about Roy. I’m really curious about what is going on with Jim and the other one(can’t say her name). There definitely is some conflict and tension between them. Does she know Jim was hanging out with Pam? Does she know about Jim’s feelings for Pam yet in this story? Please clue us in?
Author's Response:
I LOVE that you call her the other one. I can't bear to write her name either hahah But yeah, something is up with them!
Would calling off a wedding to Roy be on your list of regret? Yeah, me neither
It's all going to be answered in the next chapter!
Thanks for such an entertaining review!!

So...an interesting chapter. We'll first focus on Jim here, what little we've seen of him this go around. When last we saw, he was still friendly to Pam, but not so much his girlfriend. Now both Jim and Karen are out sick for two days in a row. However Jim still has the energy to drive to Schrute farms for a prank. Part of me thinks that since the FBI prank the real Jim, Scranton Jim, has started to come out more. Karen fell for Stamford Jim, who was a brokenhearted wreck of his former self. Now that the real Jim is peaking through the mismatch that is Scranton Jim and Karen is becoming a lot more pronounced. Especially with all this attention Jim's been giving Pam. Took him long enough to reply to her message though.
Now to Pam. Some big progress for sure with that letter to Santa. Admitting in black and white her love for Jim and how she wants his love in return. Though her mind still seems to keep going to worst case scenarios. What are Jim and Karen doing together type of stuff. She's driving herself crazy there. Very sweet way for her to try and make nice with Dwight. She is a caring soul after all.
Christmas Eve is a time for wishes to be sure. Something tells me that the fates may be taking that wish smoke up and doing something with it. Looking forward to seeing what exactly. I would give a jelly bean, but I think it's prudent to save one.
Author's Response:
I think Scranton Jim is definitely back in town, which is what is causing some of the issues!!
As Pam doesn't really know what's going on with Jim, especially as he's disappeared with his girlfriend, she's all sorts of confused. She's getting there though
Thanks for the review, we're almost there!

I could literally hear all these songs playing through my head as I read this, then they were there all night haha. Poor little Pam going through all the feels here with the music guiding her through. Of course Jim just happened to have a mix tape to give her and she found her favourite song there! Looking forward to where you take these two next. Pip pip.
Author's Response: Well I would say sorry for that, but they are great songs, so no. No I won't. Just play them again

I loved Pam talking to the turtle dove and telling it no funny business, it just highlights her frenzied state of mind! Love that they bumped into each other and again Karen-free. So glad Jim took a copy of the photos! They've essentially gone on the date that Jim was meant to be on with Karen, what an upgrade for him, and a total twist on Pam's day that has flipped her frown upside down. Cheery pip old boy.
Author's Response:
Hahaha honestly Pam talking to the dove was pretty much my favourite thing.
Gotta get Karen out the way as much as possible. No one wants her around. Jim deffo go that upgrade.
Merci boo for the revoo

Now you already know I loved this but GAH. So cute. I want to watch this little romcom story wrapped in a blanket with a mug of hot cocoa (you know what mug). The turtle dove just ughhhh so cute. And I let out a little whoop! when he wasn't there with Karen. Brilliant work Pingu.
Author's Response:
Thank you thank you. Sounds like you're doing your own bucket list there
Honestly, the Pingu has still got me laughing

Well, I am already obsessed. I love the little use of Beesly at the end there, so freaking cute. A little... hint of cuteness to come. Cheery pip old chap!
Author's Response: Well thank you my dear. Hope I can feed this obsession

Where is this beautiful bucket list from? I love it! And I love the premise of this story. It is exactly what I needed. My holiday has switched from a little less tradition and sparse extended family in different places and it hasn't been my favorite for a couple years now--but I love how Pam is helping reframe my mind about this as she decides to make new traditions even though her holidays aren't exactly as she wants them to be either. I love her hopeful mindset of not wallowing in sorrow despite still not being with Jim too. And of course, maybe, just maybe Jim will be able to do some of this bucket list with her? Here's hoping! Happy Holidays Friend! Thanks for always taking time this INSANE time of year to help us celebrate with Jam! You're the best!
Author's Response:
It's from Instagram! Where else!! As soon as I saw it I said 'oh no' to myself as I could already feel the fic writing itself.
You can definitely make your own traditions like Pam, and hopefully have a lot of fun doing it too. Hopefully this fic will help a little with that
I'm sure Jim will make an appearance or two with the bucket list, we'll have to see!
Thanks as ever for your wonderful review <3

Oh thank you so much!!! That's really made my day!! More coming I promise.
So happy you're enjoying this :)

Oh, I feel for Pam right here. She wants to be happy, but things are just kind of miserable for her. Things started out during this bucket list trek really well, but now a few days of reality hit hard. There a couple reasons to have slim hope though. Jim is still being friendly to her which is always nice. I hesitate to say it's nice that Jim and Karen are fighting, but clearly there's tension in that relationship.
Jim giving her that playlist hit hard though. She's still getting tons of mixed signals from him. Or at least it feels like mixed signals. Hopefully some of those will get cleared up soon.
Author's Response: I'm sure things are going to get better for these two. It's one of my fics, it has to right??
Date: December 20, 2023 05:10 pm Title: Jim-gerbread Man and Pam-cake
It's like the universe is sending her and Jim all these signs that they should be together. Despite what Kelly wants, it feels like it's Pam and Jim who are in the middle of a Hallmark Christmas movie. All Jim needs now is to put on a red flannel shirt at some point.
A couple things I picked up on though. Jim doesn't have a tree, which means he and Karen didn't spend any time at his place decorating a tree. Also Karen kind of flaked on him here. To not even offer him a ride back when she has to break off the date like that? Seems kind of suspicious.
I'm also kind of with Pam a little here. Jim's getting back to normal, friend-wise, but she still has the memory of him saying "I'm in love with you," bouncing around in her mind. Also she clearly wants more than friendship. I doubt it's 100% intentional, but it does feel like Jim's kind of leading her on a bit considering they haven't really hashed out their unresolved issues. Which of course is where I imagine Pam's feelings of conflicted feelings are coming from too. Great job in the writing to bring all that out in a fairly short chapter.
Really looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. My bet is that Karen sees that picture and puts 2 and 2 together. Remains to be seen though.
Author's Response:
Oh a red flannel shirt, that's not a bad idea!
Jim doesn't have a tree, good spot on that one :)
Jim is definitely giving off mixed signals and confusing Pam's all over the place. Maybe he needs to go on the naughty list this year. And thank you! I find it so hard to write briefly and have really tried to keep this one short, so glad it's all coming out ok!
Lots more to come! Thanks so much for the review and so happy you're enjoying it!

BTW I’m curious about Pam’s interactions with Jim’s parents and their reactions to her. 🤔
Could you perhaps mention in another chapter or
maybe a flashback? 🙏
Author's Response: That might be there, you'll just have to wait and see ;)

These last two chapters were sweet,
but when are they going to get naked?
Don’t you know that JAM sex is the true
meaning of Christmas?!
I’m so going to Hell for that. 😂
Author's Response:
I legit laughed out loud when I read this!!
I very much agree with you, but I'm sorry to say this fic has a T rating (that could really be a K+!) When I posted it on AO3, I actually added these tags (hope the screenshot shows!)
Hope the lack of smut doesn't put you off, there will be lots more to come next year I'm sure
Date: December 19, 2023 01:08 pm Title: O Christmas Tree!
So this is just all sorts of sweet. I love that Pam first spends time for herself. Getting some new festive attire and all. The mention of the dress feels like an important but of foreshadowing.
Then the tree farm. Looks at Jim being a good son. Being there for his family. I loved the images of them strolling up and down the rows bantering back and forth. There's still the specter of Karen weighing things down, but that weight doesn't seem so heavy. Jim saying it was good to be back feels like a variation of the aftermath of the Beach Games speech. Just fast forwarded a bit. I'm 100% here for it.
Then Jim not only bringing her the first ornament for the tree, but that one?! Lots of steps in the right direction for sure. Wonderful all the way around.
Author's Response:
Ahh you picked up on the dress did you ;)
Glad you liked the ornament! And the stroll around the farm. Kinda killed me not to go into all the detail of their conversation, but I'm trying to keep this fic on the short side. It's very hard!! Twss!
Thanks for the review, so happy you're enjoying this!
Date: December 18, 2023 03:39 pm Title: The Bucket List
Starts out a little forlorn, but ends up hopeful. Yes Jim is with Karen, for now, but he's turning to acknowledge her, using the Beesly endearment, and when she's in a bit of spot he's right there for her. That's a few hopeful spots too.
However I also like that Pam is starting to do things for her right now. She's being an active agent in her own life. Not trying to impress anyone, win anyone back, or put up with anyone. She's starting to glow a bit. Methinks someone else might notice said glow, or at least I hope he does. A Roy can stay down in his warehouse with his humbug attitude if you ask me as well.
Can't wait to read more.
Author's Response:
So glad you liked this, I've really loved writing it! Lots more coming your way :)
