I enjoyed the sense that little mementos kept Jim's hope alive for years. This was very in character. When you get time, I would recommend editing the story to keep the tenses consistent. Hope to see more stories from you in the future!

This was really cute. Pam being bored and drawing Jim fits her so well. Then being it's in S2 of course she's embarrassed about it and the feelings it brings up. Jim knowing her so well track too. That he can't seem to resist the pull of her to go through her trash has all those love-lorn feelings from the early seasons as well.
To expand on the scene from "DM Infinity" on the roof to finish up was tons of fun too. Jim holds onto something from those early days and Pam loves him for it. Great way of showing that they always had a really strong bond.
Welcome to MTT! Great job for your first story. Looking forward to reading more from you.
Author's Response: Thank you very much, really! I have a new story, and I'm eager to post it.

Just what I like - a detail-filled slice of their life, one-shot with lovely circularity in the story-telling and a memorable line ...crumpled piece of... hope...(that could have been the title) - OH and bonus points for working in the cameras.
Lovely debut from you.

Oh, I really love that! Thank you for the suggestion b25;

I echo MrsKHalpert, this was a lovely first story! And the line, "A crumpled piece of paper that gave me hope for months", blew me away. Keep the stories coming please!

Welcome to MTT! Absolutely loved this first story from you!! Really like your style of writing. The whole interaction seems so canon like, it could really have been something Pam did.
‘A crumpled piece of paper that gave me hope for months’ that line really tugged at my heart!
Great job with this one, looking forward to seeing more from you!
