Very fun to end on a Dwight prank. That it's a variation of one from canon was even more fun. Glad they could enjoy the planning and execution together. Also the hints of how their future will play out.

Another great story from you. Full of nice build up and many a wonderful turn of phrase. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I was struggling with what to do for "spooked!" And then it hit me that The Office already has a prank ready for me...

As always I appreciate your kind words and attention to detail. You really are a main strength of this site, imo

Nice to see this is still going! And very much agree with Pam, it would be much better to be on a couch with Jim!
Roll on the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thank you! And nice to see you still reading! I appreciate it!

I like that she enjoys company and doing things, but Pam is someone who recharges at home. And now home is where Jim is. Love that about this chapter. That Jim is becoming such a mainstay presence in her life that it doesn't matter what the building is, home is where her heart is and her heart is with Jim. Just lovely.

Author's Response: I feel like Pam here most days so I'm glad that felt in character, since it was mostly just channeling myself, lol

Fun to see these little fluffy slices of their life. That they can just enjoy their time together like this. I also like that Pam is ok with doing what Jim wants to do as well. Feels like they're building up a good relationship. They can enjoy the hobbies of the other one like this. Great to see.

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the slice of life; I didn't realize quite how long 31 chapters would be so I am glad it doesn't completely feel like filler ;)

That must have been a surreal experience for her. Probably more than a few memories of high school popped up, so yeah, good she had closure of her former relationship.

I'm sure Jim could have guided Michael into some kind of plan if he really wanted to. But I also think this is the kind of thing Jim would just let unfold around him. If it was a basketball practice that might have been a different scenario methinks.

Author's Response: I agree with your take on Jim: he's also more interested in hanging out with Pam here than bailing Michael out. Might be different if they weren't together yet...but they are

Makes sense to me that Roy wouldn't have changed his emergency contacts. The description of a plow horse rings true. He'll just keep on doing his thing because it's simple for him and he doesn't really know any other way. So forgetting to change his contact falls in line. Hopefully his mother gets him to change that once the meds wear off.

Good for Pam here. She's not antagonistic toward him, she cares for him in as much as she cares about people in general. But she's right. It's not her issue to deal with any more. So when she leaves it's to be with Jim and wash away the stress. I like that.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading carefully and thoughtfully. I am glad that it seemed emotionally reasonable to you here, since I really wanted Pam to get that closure.

Getting almost lost on the back mountain roads of Pennsylvania would track for Michael. Or almost lost. Nice that Pam and Jim can have an excuse to be close at work, even if it might be a little uncomfortable.

Author's Response: I do think Michael could get lost in the office itself, so...yes, the backroads could be a challenge. Thanks for reading!

Everyone is so wonderfully in character here. Kelly being all about chatspeak. Jim and Pam readily using it to keep talking/flirting. Dwight getting way to literal about it. Perfect feel of the show in this one. Tons of fun.

Author's Response: I really appreciate that! I'm glad I managed to make it feel like the show--I felt good writing that one, so it's great to know it came through. Thanks as ever for reading.

Love a spot of kitchen chaos, especially when it also involves Larissa. I can just see the look of indignation she would pull too. Then the looks Jim and Larissa would give Pam at her snort. All sorts of fun. Also, props for using the more formal term for a 32nd note there too. Love the occasional long letter word. Great fun.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I appreciate the care with which you read these chapters, as always. And kitchen fun is a blast to write, so I'm glad you liked reading it!

I am and always will be Team Blade. I don't care what kind of plot armor those sparkle "vampires" have, Blade will cut through it.

Moving on, love Pam's internal thoughts here. How she kept trying to think it wasn't anything physical that held attraction for her, but always getting caught up on the physical. Then of course finding deeper meaning. Then a nice warm scene between the two of them. Great stuff.

Author's Response: I agree on Blade. Thanks for reading and for always getting the vibes I'm hoping you'll get!

Outstanding! Love the Full Metal Jacket reference. Same with Deight getting bossed around like this. I can just imagine his look of confusion turning into his lackey kind of look. Great stuff.

And of course Jim and Pam just sitting back and watching it all. Loved it.

Author's Response: Thank you! I had a lot of fun making Dwight be absolutely ridiculous.

Sorry I’ve been terribly awful at reviews lately. Still really enjoying this though and looking forward to seeing what Sam will do!

Author's Response: I'm really glad you liked it! And no worries, I'm bad at updating too :)

Love that Jim and Pam are very much partners in crime here. Even though they're dating they still haven't lost their sense of fun. Getting one over on Dwight like this sounds just about perfect too. Can't wait to see what kind of chaos it brings.

Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you like the way I worked out the ending of the prank here.

I can totally see Dwight finding this online "certificate," and using it for extra authority points. "It says 9 and up Jim! They don't just give these out to anyone!" Michael with 6 shooter caps guns would be an exercise in non-productivity for sure.

Glad Pam and Jim were able to take a quick break from all that craziness. Always fun to see them in a good place and finding ways to be together. Lots of fun in this chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you! I thought this was very Dwight-like, so I'm glad you agree.

Absolutely wasn’t a filler chapter, was very cute! (Sorry it took so long to review!)
Loved that last line!
As. Ever looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks! Took me long enough to write the chapter too ;)

Feels like she's still getting her mental status in order. It's still the new phases of the relationship and that's all pretty exciting. And considering the previous relationship it feels like she wants to make sure of positive longevity with Jim. Not that she really needs to worry, to much. Still I think it's good to see her taking some time apart from him to get some perspective. Even if said perspective is a grilling by her folks. The reward at the end made up for it I'm sure.

Author's Response: Thanks, as always, for your careful and thoughtful reviews. I really appreciate you as an audience :)

"the old Flash Gordon movie with Brian Blessed as Ming the Merciless."
I LOVE that you know this film. Although Brian Blessed played Prince Vultan, leader of the Winged Bird-Men :D (sorry, my inner-nerd is showing.) Brian Blessed is a national treasure in the UK.

Loving how things are developing for Pam, too...

Author's Response: Valid point, but I'm gonna leave in Pam getting that wrong :) I'm a huge Blessed fan since his days in early Blackadder, so I had to get him in somehow. Thanks for reading!

Oh I just loved this chapter!! That ending was perfect! Can’t wait for the next update!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm afraid the next one is a bit of a filler, but I hope you like it anyway!

Yay! A big and bold step from Pam. One that matches the energy Jim brought. I can tell he was very excited to show her the listing. Then when she starts suggesting more than just a simple apartment hunt one can almost feel the usual warning signs going off in his head. They've been a part of him for so long I'm sure it would be hard to just turn them off. That is until Pam's statement there. Love the twisting around of the canon line. That was probably just as much of a mental tire-screeching halt to anything going on in Jim's mind as when she said she and Roy were no longer a thing.

Really like that Pam's also gotten the clarity about her feelings for Jim. That those feelings are real. That there's not feelings of a rebound or anything like that either. Great to see her some to that perspective on her own as well. Love me some good healthy Pam growth.

Well out of jellybeans by now, but this would have gotten one. Can't wait for more.

Author's Response: You have such thoughtful comments that I really wish I could do them justice here in the replies. Thanks for the careful reading, and even though next chapter is a bit of a slowing of the plot pacing I hope you enjoy it!

Another small step for her. But a much more enjoyable one.she can just relish spending time with Jim. No overtones of guilt. And a fun and mostly harmless prank on Dwight. Great fun for sure.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And hopefully you'll enjoy a little more of a large step next chapter...

More questions bubbling up for Pam. She's got a taste of what Jim could be like as a more permanent fixture in here life. Seems like she's liking the taste too. Don't worry Pam, the answer wouldn't be no.

Feels like we're moving more and more into better times for the both of them. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here.

Author's Response: Thank you! As in most of my stories, this is a fairly slow Pam (she doesn't seem to realize quite how gone Jim already is!) but I think she's earned that, since she also hasn't gone through Casino Night or anything yet...

Nice gentle build up for Jim to "help" Pam, looking forward to how this pans out between them.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I hope you like where I decided to go with the next chapter!

I love this chapter, but especially this line: "The copier still accepted whatever eldritch sacrifice it had been offered at the last repair call" - superb!
