Larissa was planning on going to the Everhart and "just so happens," to need her big brother. Sure Jim. While Pam might not believe you, right now at least, it's fun from the outside perspective being able to see right through him. I'm more than willing to be that it was Jim's idea to suggest it to Larissa then to mention it to Pam. It's really a clever idea. With his sister there, it's at least plausible that this isn't a date (who are we really kidding).
Years from now I have this image of Pam looking back on this trip to the museum and the light going off in her head and Jim just looks up at her with a big grin on his face. She calls him a dork, he calls her Beesly and all is right with the world.
Author's Response: It's also an excuse for me to get my favorite not-really-canonically-explained character onstage as a plot device! But yes, exactly, to what you're saying.

Author's Response: About to is right, lol :) Thanks for reading

Pam's starting to look up. She's starting to see that her life isn't really a life she enjoys. For Pam at this point in her life that's big. This Pam doesn't have the courage to walk across coals to get what she wants. However she's starting to realize her current relationship is cold and so she might just start glancing at the fire.
Author's Response: Just going to start glancing so far though...slow and steady is my m.o. as you know! Thanks for reading.

I’m really enjoying your style of writing on this one. Making it really good to read.
But come on Pam, don’t make spaghetti and meatballs, walk out of there with your money!!!
Author's Response: Aww, thanks! And I agree that Pam should do that, but sadly she doesn't yet...

A bunch of red flags there. Roy just spending money he assumes is there. Pam not pressing him on the issue when she knows that money has been earmarked for other things. I've long said that the big issue between Pam and Jim was their lack of communication. Feels like that was a habit that came over from this relationship. Don't address things directly. Don't rock the boat. Keep things comfortable rather than risk something.
Author's Response: As you know, that's my main take on the Roy-Pam relationship as well: very don't-rock-the-boat, very little do-I-like-this-boat-at-all. Thanks for reading!

Glad to have you back! Not the kind of horse I was expecting right from the off. However it's also very plausible in terms of where everyone is. Roy still trying to be that kind of guy. Pam kind of going along with it, but knowing something is off. Jim waiting on the edges. So, it's a good set up for sure. Can't wait to see where we go.
Author's Response: Thank you! Next step is to get back to reading on the site as well (starting with Silver Wings; thanks for letting me know you'd updated it!). I hope to keep the momentum here up so that we can get to the real plot soon--lots of gestures towards horses here without necessarily ever bringing the real thing onstage ;)

So glad to have you back! Very much looking forward to seeing where this one goes
Author's Response: Thank you! It's good to be back, and I'm hoping to keep this one up so that we can move forward with the plot soon!
