Meet Cute by proxy, how clever and holiday magical. Was getting "Christmas Wrapping" vibes as we headed out into the wastes. I also enjoyed the 'dhdr' line and the something better than ice cream line.
So tell me, which came first your story plot or the elements? Either way, I enjoyed how you brought them and the story to life-especially as I spent yesterday holiday baking and read this story while waiting on a batch.

I love Penny. She just cuts right through all the BS they'd normally have to deal with. It's so great to see someone just tells them straight, "look you two morons, you love each other, stop fighting it and enjoy it." Absolutely delightful. Though you have also made me want midnight ice cream while on duty tonight. Not a bad thing mind you.
Wonderful work as always. I really liked this one.
Author's Response: Thank you! I enjoy making someone just outside their relationship knock their heads together (metaphorically). I also wanted ice cream after writing it, if that helps, though I don't do late evening shifts.
