Amazing read.
PLEASE make this a series! I love the style of writing from Pam's inner thoughts, and the melancholic atmosphere exudes through the screen.
I think if you did every Season 3 episode (at least the parts of the Jim/Pam/Karen arc) in this style, it would be wonderful.

Wow, there was a lot to unpack there. For Pam, the artist, the one who sees the world in colors, to say the sun is grey is deep for her. Considering how in her thoughts she still uses color to describe all her co-workers it goes to show how she's feeling. That's a great writing technique.
All the memories that come back to her during this morning alone with her thoughts hit hard. The fact that she fully realizes everything now hurts a bit to read. Clearly she's still hurting about everything from Casino Night. Breaking things off with Roy. Rejecting Jim, all of it. She had one hope of a bright spot when Jim returned, but now that's snatched away too. Very much feels like she's just going through the motions.
I loved how descriptive you were with her thoughts and feelings. How she notices everything and that it all plays into how it frames her mindset right here. It was amazing writing. I'd love to see how you'd write this same Pam but after all the rest of her character growth leading up to the coal walk and then as she and Jim really do get together. Outstanding one shot.

I never understood the appeal of Karen.
I never thought she was all that special and came off as a pick me girl.
Jim was such an ass in season three.
He started the problem between himself and Pam and acted like she had the plague and he was a victim while shoving Karen in Pam’s face.
