Just found this, and I wanted to say that I loved it. It's very Ryan.

Oh, I think I missed these when you first posted them, but they're fantastic. All of them felt so spot-on, and I really had equal love for each chapter. They fit so well together, and flow into each other--if there were ever an out-of-the-office Office (if that makes any sense), this would be it.

Everyone's lonelyness was very palpable in this fic (oh, except for Angela and Dwight). You did an amazing job of conveying the semi-despair some people feel when alone on a Saturday night.

Yes! I read all of those chapters really quickly because the whole thing just...flowed. Oh, and I adore the line Pam uses art better than she uses words. Just excellent.

I. Love. Ryan. And this chapter. And the adorable adorable adorable BJ Novak.

Heeeeee. Perfect D and Monkey chapter. Good thing he doesn't mind driving her to church in the morning, cause gas ain't free...

Ohhhh Sasha! I've been waiting to read this, and judging from this first chapter, it will be worth it. :) And yes, Toby does need to get laid.

Pam uses art better than she uses words.
I am still waiting for this to be true on the show.
This has been a great series overall. Excellent job getting into the minds and motivations of each of these characters.

I've enjoyed all these chapters, but I think this is my favorite. I love how she's aware of what Jim's doing, imagining him at each precise moment with Sasha. And the text message was the perfect punctuation - they really feel in sync here.

Lovely series. Well done. Strangely, I liked Ryan the best, which I was not expecting. You wrote him really well. And I love Pam painting how Jim feels to her.

OHMIGOD. I was secretly waiting for Pam the mostest and you didn't disappoint. This is lovely and I want to hug it.
However, it's Wednesday and I do have an assignment due today and I have to go do that. But this? This is amazing. Flowers and fireworks. Ah, yes. AND HARDCORE DORA! *loves*

I loved this last line: she has a look in her eyes and suddenly Dwight doesn’t mind that he’ll have to drive her to church in the morning.

Each of these scenes contains something so true - Jim's sweetness with Sasha, and Karen not understanding that tender side of him (plus his increasing avoidance of her;) Karen's growing realization that she doesn't belong there, or with Jim; Toby (my fave) trying so hard, shy, not quite convinced, but willing to give it a go because what else does he have? Lovely little portraits of all of them. Will there be more?
Author's Response:
There will be more...
Thanks for the review!

very insightful snippets - now where's Pam and why isn't she with Jim?? ;-)
Author's Response:
You'll see...I'm getting there!

He! There truly isn't enough Dwight/Angela out there. Thank you for sharing! I can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Thanks! I guess the reason for that would be that they are unbelievably hard to write. At least for me!

Man, you are so good at capturing the characters' individual voices, which is really a difficult thing to do. This just illuminated so much about where Toby must be mentally, emotionally - lonely but wary; eager but still hesitant.
Please continue this - I'd love to read your take on all the characters, seriously!
Author's Response: Thanks, girl7! I hope to do most of the lead characters. Dwangela is up and I can't wait to write Ryan and Kelly!
Date: December 11, 2006 08:11 pm Title: Karen
You know, you've really hit on something fascinating here: the fact that Karen would find it hard not to get a little clingy with Jim because he's such a nice guy and wouldn't be an ass about it. Ouch. Such a realistic complication.
Loving this!
Author's Response: Yeah, I know I've been there myself with the whole becoming clingy thing. Although if it were Jim I'd have a harder time than Karen controlling myself. I think the fact that she seems so confident and independant makes it more difficult for her.

Mm, so painful - nothing like the combination of Toby and Jim. ....Except for the combo of Jim and Sasha! This was alternately adorable and devastating, so realistic. Loved it that he's exhausted all the time except for when he's trying to go to sleep - been there. And I also love it that Sasha questions him about Karen - because kids are incapable of the kind of denial in which he and Pam regularly indulge; they just call it like they see it.
Maybe Sasha could be their fairy godchild.... :o)
Great job with this chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! For some reason that deleted scene from TYDTWD always stuck in my head as the sweetest thing ever. And I'd been wanting to write about it for a long time.
