Ha! I see from your post chapter comment that you were trying to follow the show's storyline! Now I am curious to see what you do. I like how you've got Jane prodding Jim. Somebody has to!

I always wondered what it was like for Mark, having to deal with all of Jim's Pam-related emo-angst. I really like this story so far- Mark and Jim's friendship seems really deep and genuine, but it still has a definite male-vibe to it. Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: I had such a hard time keeping them male, since I'm a girl.  Ok they don't eat ice cream they drink.  they don't shop they play basketball.  That and I have an amazing set of betas who say, whoa they sound girly here.  Yeah I liked having Mark be helpful instead of just being like Karen's hot, forget Pam!  Thanks for the review.

I really like the chapter titles. Its an odd thing to say, but I do!
Drunk Jim is honest Jim I see...
Where exactly did Guam come from? It seems like such a random place to need to move to! Not Russia, Not Australia... nope.. Guam.
I say grow a pair... actually, I kidna say that about me... I think I need to grow a pair. And I am Southren (although, I mean, I was born in the south, raised in the south, but I don't think most people would think I am the stereotypical southern... yeah, like this is the thing to be focusing on).

Author's Response: Guam, guam actually comes from a joke I once had with a guy friend in college.  He and I used to joke about moving to Guam because it was so remote all your problems had to disappear right?!?  I also apparently need to grow a pair, the farther midwest I go the more I realize that.  Yeah I lived for a time up north where everyone thought I was sooo southern, but in the south I'm just normal :-)

This is wonderful: "He peeled his tongue off the roof of his mouth and realized that it was possible that something had died in his mouth over night"  I mean, icky, but wonderful.  I'm pretty sure I've woken up feeling like that.  Not often, thankfully.  And long ago.

Okay, Pam would like to hear about this: "Unless you count the pathetic rambling about how you love her and want to marry her, want her to bear your children, the usual."  If I were Pam, and I did hear that?  "Me too", "I do", "Let's start trying now".

Move to Guam?  Good line!

And yeah, that break room scene was rough, but through the miracle of fanfic, we can make it nice (just call it AU and it's all good)!

I like Jane; she's a good friend.

Author's Response:

Yeah well sadly I've been there on the desert mouth, not recently but been there.  That's usually part where I remember why I don't drink that much.  And you know Jim whines about Pam when he drinks, you know it.  I suspect he and Karen don't go out for drinks too much. :-)   Thanks again Kev.  I'm looking into your idea, I think we can co-author or we could join with 3 others for a round robin.  It all sounds like fun to me.  And I love you ideas!

I can't wait for more! This is great.

Author's Response: Thank you so much!  I'm really happy that you like it!

Okay, Jane is my new best friend.  I love that girl, telling Jim to grow a pair.  LOL!

Author's Response: Thanks!  I picture her something like Ainsley Hayes from the West Wing or a good friend of mine from High School who was definitely spunky.  But she tells it like it is our Jane, and he does need a grow a pair.  :-)
