Ahhhh! I am so glad you updated! I was just re-reading this story the other day and was really sad since it looked like you abandoned it. But yay, it's back! I really hope the Pam and Jim in your story don't go months and months without speaking and that there is NO Karen-like person that Pam goes out with. But I will read whatever you care to offer. Hope life in Japan is going well! :-)
Author's Response: I know, I'm a dead-beat-fic-writer T_T Don't worry, Jim and Pam in the story will be meeting up soon, as fun as writing all these angsty missed connections are. And Japan's great, though it's getting hot.

This was excellent. I have to say that Jim's lucky Lisa wasn't feeling right either. Lisa just made this very easy for Jim; whereas (we assume) Pam had to suck it up and call off her wedding all on her own.
And I hope Lisa just learned a little lesson about wedding dresses! "A little loose" is fine. Maybe for her next wedding!

This was so angsty and heartbreaking and then the kiss...it's just excellent.
I think it's interesting that she said sorry; I don't think he did, but it makes sense that she did. Jim really had less cause to feel guilty, since he knew Roy was not that great in general, and certainly not that great for Pam. Lisa's only fault, so far, is that she doesn't like to do the same things as Jim (like Casino Night and his poker nights); she humors him in those things rather than support him in them, perhaps? Which is actually sort of Karen-like too (maybe?)

I can't believe I never saw this one! It's really good. I like how Jim is trying to figure out why, but it would be difficult for him to figure out the real reason!
It seems like Lisa is a big change from Roy, though! Roy's not the right guy for Pam, but Lisa seems right for Jim. That makes it all so much more difficult. Poor Pam.
I like her choice of an escape vacation, and how you have her tell him she's leaving instead of the sneak attack ILY and leaving.

I've been wanting to read this for a while and I just read all seven chapters. It's wonderful ladama! Not only is the story believable and written totally in character with Jim and Pam, it flows beautifully and has great visuals too! I look forward to the next chapter. I really hope Jim gets on that plane!!

Aw, I love that he was so wanting to just go to Italy and find her, though it is totally realistic that he would decide against it for that price. And your Pam "makes friends with someone you'll probably recognize" teaser has me a little worried! My mind is jumping to Roy or Karen.

I will say the "new" character won't have the same purpose as they do on the show.

Author's Response: Yay, I was worried people would find the non-booking of the flight anti-climactic, but this was the reaction I was hoping for. Don't worry, Casey will be okay, he's just going through a transition like everyone else in the story.

Yeah, the beers on the patio scene was awesome. I think you're doing a really great job with this story. It's definitely role-reversal but I don't feel like it's exactly the same old story. Your new touches fit in very well! Can't wait to see what happens now that Pam knows about the wedding! Hopefully Jim won't wait for months to contact her :-P
