Whew indeed.  You're writing things on the angsty side but it is all so lovely that I can't help but feel this hopeful current underneath.  My favorite kind of story overall and you're writing it beautifully.  More.  Please.  Soon.  Thank you. :)

Author's Response: glad you feel the hope. It's def there.  I'm not really into TOTAL debbie downer type stuff. lol although some people might disagree with that.  Anyway, sooo glad it's your fav kind of story and sooo thrilled that you took the time to review.  Thanks a million!

“I’m not,” she told him. And then she sort of glanced off to the side like she couldn’t believe her own ears and the twinkle grew into a smile and she raised her eyebrows.  Mark just stood there…still confused.  “Jim is a good guy…and I’m not engaged,”

Pam's realization here is such a beautiful part of this chapter! You make us feel like we're just learning it with her.

And I can't even tell you how much I loved Mark and Mindy's interaction. Like, you just know he probably goes in for the sole purpose of bugging the hell out of her sometimes.

And oh sweet god. The last few paraghaphs? So well done. I really really really thought they were just going to give in there, even though I kept going "No, it wouldn't be right now." And then they didnt. And like, just great job. Because you really captured that kind of tug-of-war "I want to but I shouldn't" feeling so beautiful.

Author's Response:

ugh thanks, that's one of my favorite moments so far too.  Just cause it's very subtle for her, and sooo not subtle for the rest of the world.  I'm like "PAM! You're not with Roy...JUMP JIM ALREADY." but she's gotta do it slow. lol.

And glad you got the tug-of-war feeling.  Awesome review! So helpful for me. Thanks!

Damn, girl. I think I need a second.

Wow.

Loving it. That's about as articulate as I can be at this moment. ;)

Author's Response: lol I, too, needed a second after I wrote it.  ;-) Glad you're loving it.  I hope that sticks.

best fic of the last month, no offense but way better and more realistic than FDWM.  awesome job.

Author's Response: thanks.  FDWM was just a more poetic take on things.  A lot less office and a lot more self-indulgence on my part ;-) This one is more true to the show, I think.  Or not...at all... but you get what I mean.

ok, the sexual tension you've got going here is AMAZING. Seriously, you're like the master at creating that. So glad you updated so quickly, but now it's like a drug...and I need more. :-)

Author's Response: lol well here's hoping I can keep it up ;-)  I'm sooo happy you're enjoying it.

I love this story! You have such a knack for describing the sexual tension. Please don't keep us waiting too long for the next installment!! ;)

Author's Response:

lol that's cause sexual tension is my life.  Oh shit, did I say that out loud? I meant to say my love life is booming... Next installment should be up today or tomorrow ;-) Thanks for the review

Oh, Jim.

This was incredibly heartbreaking and tension-filled, and just... perfect. I adore the angst, because it twists my stomach in knots, and gives me these delicious warm fuzzies. Not that that makes any sense. lol I can't wait for more.

OMG!!!! Pam come back! I need to know what happens like NOW! Oh man you've got a seriously addicting story on your hands here. I hope you're happy. ;-) That was some HOT stuff going on in the kitchen, and Jim....it's a total green light - just go for it.  LOVE THIS STORY.

I remember reading the first chapter of this and really liking the premise with the back and forth poetic inner monologue.  Glad I found it again.  I'm looking foward to the continuation of this story.

Author's Response: thank you.  Glad you found it too

This was really good. I like your writing style - it completely draws me in. The whole red light, green light thing was so great, and so true to the characters.

Author's Response: thanks I love references to childhood, so, red light green light! ;-) glad you enjoyed it

Yayy! An update. Poor Jim, that guy just needs to get better timing. I really liked the quiet simplicity of this chapter and how Jim and Pam managed to say so much to each other with out actually saying that much. This was another great update, I am on the edge of my seat, I can't wait to read more!

This story continues to be just incredibly lovely.  This chapter in particular seemed incredibly real to me for some reason I can't quite explain.  I think it's because of Jim - how he acted during S2 - so careful and restrained but everything was right there under the surface the whole time.

Cannot wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

always good to feel real.  Thanks for the insight.

Oh, hurry and post the next chapter!  I can't wait to see what Mark has to say to Pam and what happens when she comes back inside!  I presume it can't be long because if the whole city is shut down, she sure can't go for a walk!

Author's Response: hope the next chapter was good for you! chapter seven will be up soon I think.  Let me know how you like it.

argh!!!!! i am so frustrated after this chapter. i know that Jim's just trying to be a nice guy, but KISS HER ALREADY! and Mark? worst. timing. EVER. but i can see that this is going someplace good? i hope. b/c it has great potential and it's such a great story. it's a good thing that i'm frustrated. it means you've captured the Jim and Pam that i know and love and i'm emotionally invested. great job!

Author's Response: haha.  I love your reviews, so heartfelt and awesome. I hope you're still enjoying it.  Let me know.

MY heart was pounding just reading this.  I swear your imagery is perfect - it's like I can smell the toothpaste and soap and I can see the snow outside - it's just perfect.  I can't wait to see where this is going.  More, soon, please!!! And you know, since today is 7/7/07 I think you should post chapters 6 AND 7 - to, you know, celebrate! LOL!

Author's Response: haha...clearly that didn't happen.  Hopefully chapter 7 will be up by the weekend.  Thanks for reading and reviewing!! Happy I can make your heart pound ;-)
