Wow, they both know how to just turn the knife in each other, though Pam is definitely being more cruel than Jim. I can't wait to see where this goes from here ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks for your review. Maybe Pam's meaness is just my way of letting her have payback for some of the stuff Jim pulled with her this last season. You are right about them knowing how to hurt each other, though.

Thanks again for the review!

Great story. Cannot wait until the next chapter.

Youch! This is very, very good.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I appreciate your review. The Youch! and the fact that you like it make me think of John Mellencamp's "Hurts So Good"

Thanks again!

I have no idea why I'm relishing this amount of angst right now... But wow am I loving this story! A new update just makes my day. Oh, and that last line?

She needs all of the ammunition she can get.

Ouch! But I cannot wait to see where it's going!!!

Author's Response: I love angst as well. In fact, I'm so worried about this upcoming season. I hope I don't miss sad Jim!  Glad you liked it and I hope to have more for you soon!

Please let the anger stop soon.  This is getting painful.

Author's Response: It will end eventually...promise.

Oh my God, I love this! I just watched The Convention again tonight, and I like this version of it. My mouth fell open when Pam slapped Jim.

You're an excellent storyteller, and I can't wait for more of this. :)

Author's Response: Wow! Thank you so very much.  Even though Pam and Jim weren't together at the convention, there is just so much heartbreak in that story and I wanted to exploit that. Thanks again!

I'm loving this, I wish Jim and Pam had hashed this all out sooner like this...(I'm guessing they WILL hash it out?) I love the talking heads at the beginning, you didn't even need to clarify who was speaking, you do Michael and Dwight's "voices" so well!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your review.  Don't worry...there will be hashing...and perhaps even some smutty hashing.  Glad that you liked the talking heads. I added them at the last minute so I'm glad that you liked them.

More More More.  I like this a lot.  Anger is good at this point...leads to making up...

Author's Response: EXACTLY!  Thanks for the review.

CAN he handle that?  Can't wait to find out!

PS I love overprotective Dwight, how sweet

Author's Response: Thanks for your review. I love overprotective Dwight and I also love the Dwim dynamic so I try to inlcude them whenever I can.

I'm really enjoying this so far. It has a lot of potential.

I got all teary-eyes when Pam slapped Jim and then cried in the elevator.

Author's Response: Thanks. I hope it lives up to its potential!  I love FNB, but she can't be fancy 24/7

I LOVE Michael and Dwight's talking heads.  SO excellent.  You do a fabulous job with characterization.  I could picture all of this.  Great job.

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked the talking heads. I tucked them on at the last minute and wasn't sure they went. Thanks again!

You are so good. LOVE the mantra.

This is great!  I am really enjoying this story.  Very different but fun to consider.  Keep it coming!

Great insight into Jim, post-Casino-night. He really just doesn't understand how things got so fucked up. I loved Dwight's small moment too. I can't wait to read the next part!

Author's Response: Poor tortured Jim. He thought he was letting Pam have what she wanted. Glad you liked the Dwight part. I love when he looks out for Pam.  Thanks so much for your review.

I love your writing style.  It's introspective (sp?) without being sappy or uber-angsty.  And you're right about Dwight.  He would be a little put out if Jim didn't say goodbye :(

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your kind words. I had just finished watching Travelling Salesmen and I love that hug that Dwight gives Jim as he leaves and I wanted to include some of that. I was worried, though that this came too soon after Conflict Resolution and Dwight wanting Jim gone to have it work. Thanks again for your review.

OMG! You and your fic are made of win.  That slap was v v satisfying; your Pam is v realistic.  I kind of wish things had happened this way.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for you kind words. I'm so glad that you find my characters realistic. I struggle so much with that.  I agree. If things had happened this way, we may not have been subjected to Karen!

"The longing, the hurt, and the disappointment…it’s all still fucking right there. It’s as if he’s the one who was broken…not her. He’s the one that left…what right does he have to look like that…to look…so…. fucking…. damaged?"

Love, love LOVE this!  Pam decided on CN that she "could", and Jim left without even knowing it. Can't wait to see what's coming up.....

Author's Response: Thanks Kaystar! I really appreciate your review. I think that it probably took Pam a little longer to decide that she could, but I bet the thought was there as soon as Jim walked out the door. Thanks again!

Of all the 'Jim's back' fic I have read - this one is the one I have been waiting for.  Oh, how I love Jim - but I always thought he deserved a good smack for jetting out after the big confession.  It's nice to see Pam let her emotions run away with her.

Pleeeeease keep going with this one - lately I have been getting hooked on stories that end up floating in space and never finished ... I would really love to see more of this one. :)

Thanks!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. I agree. I love Jim, but sometimes....the boy needs a good slap in the face.  I'm working on the next chapter right now.

Holy crap!  Pam!  Did not expect that....

Love the train description 'a good kind of lonesome'.

Would it be trite to tell you I can't wait for the next chapter?  Ok, I'll leave the writing to you then.

Author's Response: No it wouldn't be trite :)  Thanks for your review and I shall get back to writing.
