Oh man I am so hooked on this story. It is seriously as good an an XF episode! (Only without the icky monsters - I hope.) The Mulder/Scully tension is just killing me. Yowza!

It is always Scully who's getting into these situations, isn't it? Sigh.
Great chapter and I'm hoping that Jim does feel the vibe of Pam being gone, even if he tries to shake it off because of what he heard.
Author's Response: It really is. I actually have a very special place in my heart for those episodes where it's Mulder who needs saving. However, this is not one of those! lol. And yeah hopefully Jim gets the vibes ;-)

So, I still am in awe of your ability to write Mulder and Scully in perfect character.
My favorite parts (parts that made me squee or laugh out loud):
“So now you’re all about procedure, Scully? That’s quite the change from this morning…”
“Yes,” Jim proclaimed too loudly, bolting up out of his chair and heading for the door of the conference room.
“Going to give a personal interview?”
“This isn’t the end of this conversation,”
And why the hell had he been prancing around without a shirt on?

Author's Response: lol oh mulder and scully, I love them so. It's so interesting to me to be writing these two couples in the same story because they're both so similar, but at the same time...wow such a different feel to them. I love the dark dryness that only M&S can have ;-) And, yeah, get ready for the angst/humor fest that is Mulder and Jim as a team. More soon, I promise!!
