I like this, I'm looking forward to more. I agree about the video, too. 4AMInsominiac's videos never cease to blow me away. And there have been a lot of songs from those videos I've immediately gone to iTunes to download, that one included. Anyway, I enjoyed this first chapter. I like how it isn't one of those falling into bed on the first date fics. Although I like those, too. ;o)

Okay, huuuuge sigh of relief at the first review. (Honestly, it's a little harrowing every time I post a new story -- like, what if there's nothing but the sound of crickets because it utterly sucks? Hee.) Seriously, though, thanks so much for taking the time to review this!
I'm completely in awe of the people who make such amazing youtube videos -- partly because I'm so technologically challenged that I wouldn't even know where to begin, but every bit as much because they seem to intuit just what scenes hit the hardest; seeing them spliced together is the most exquisite torture sometimes. (And that sounded creepier than I intended, hee.)
Oh, and yes -- I've discovered so many amazing artists via the Jim & Pam youtube videos, from Snow Patrol to The Fray and all sorts of acts in between. It's just amazing.
I'm happy, too, that you didn't find them stopping at a kiss off-putting or unrealistic. (Believe it or not, I'd initially written it as them not even so much as hugging, but my brilliant beta requested at least a kiss, so....)
Anyway, I plan on filling in some of the blanks between "The Job" and "Fun Run" -- while mining the very angsty past for Jim. :o)
