Moxie--I absolutely love this story! It's so well-written and true to both Jim and Pam's characters, that if I didn't know better, I'd think you were Greg Daniels in disguise. Please, please continue as it really helps with the impending hiatus blues. Awesome job!

Author's Response: Now that is the best compliment I could ever receive (I <3 Greg!!!) - I'm so glad if this story is helping you get through the strike.  I'll do my best to continue!  Thanks for reviewing, cricket!

Man...I need this Jim to come to MY house! heehee

Author's Response: First, we need to clone him - then we'll send him out all over the world!  Thanks for reviewing!

“So it was okay that I just barged into your apartmet and did all this?”

Definitely,” she nodded, cuddling closer. “I could definitely get used to this.”

Good,” he replied softly. “Good.”

Oh, squee goes my silly fangirl heart.  And of course he's cooking Italian food, because he's in love with it.

Can't wait for more. :)

Author's Response: Would you believe I completely forgot about the Italian food link?  I guess my brain just absorbed the information and knew what to tell me to write.  ;-)  Glad your fangirl heart enjoyed it.  Thanks for reviewing, dear!

Pam hated when Jim said “Oh.” How someone could manage to cram that much sadness and despair and the image of homeless orphans into a two letter word was beyond her.

sometimes jim's face makes me think of that montage in Lady and the Tramp of the sad puppies in the pound.

also, if a man came into my house, made me dinner, cleaned my filth AND DID ALL MY LAUNDRY my brain would explode and then i would THROW myself at him. literally. i'd get airtime.

Author's Response: Yeah, this chapter was total wish fulfillment on my part.  :-)  Glad you liked it!

i love this! And the Red Lobster biscuit thing was great! Years ago before they were available in the stoe, my mom badgered the cook for some of the batter. Less than a year later, they were out for sale at the supermarket! Go figure. Red lobster biscuits + a cleaned apartment = I hope Jim gets laid. ;)

Author's Response:

Red lobster biscuits + a cleaned apartment = I hope Jim gets laid. ;)

I expect he's hoping so too....  ;-D

Thanks for the review, sharipep

Aww!  Can Jim come over to my house and clean and make dinner and be distracting?  Well, he already does one of those things anyway.

P.S. Impatient Jim is 10 kinds of adorable.

Author's Response:

I think if I could get him to come over to my house I wouldn't give a damn about the house..... ;-)

I also think there is one more chapter to this story coming.  Maybe something along the lines of grateful!Pam....

So sweet, Moxie : )  We always knew he was the perfect man!

Author's Response: Yes, is pretty much the closest thing we'll ever find to perfect, isn't he? Lucky, lucky Pam.  :-)

Haha. Darn right she didn't have a key. ;) Very nice.

Author's Response: Oh, thanks so much - I'm glad I'm not the only one who see's the Office world in that way.  :)

Sigh...can we ever get enough of those two?  Loved every bit of this, especially the key exchange and the ending.  I can't see Jim ever giving Karen a key to his place, although I'm sure she gave him one to her place shortly after BFV.  Giving the key = committment.  And no matter how much he tried to hide it and move on, Jim's heart belonged to one girl and it wasn't Karen.

Another winner, Mox!

Author's Response:

Can we ever get enough?  God I hope not!!  Can't wait until the writers are doing what they do best, though!

Thanks for the review, EH

Ah, the symbolic key exchange. Sweet...and, of course Pam would wonder about Karen. And, not only did Karen not have the key to his apt., she didn't have one for his ignition either (ahem. Sorry, had to go there.) Nicely done, Miss Mox.

Author's Response: LOL - very true, colette.  Perhaps that ignition issue might be addressed in the next chapter.  ;-)  Thanks for the review!

I HATE IT!!

just kidding.. I loved it, like everything else you write. :)

Author's Response: Such. A. Dork.  :-)

"Oh, right," he scoffed. "I'm pretty sure I can't get legitimate work doing what I do best, and that's being your boyfriend."

Totally awesome line - as was "She never had a key," .  (Thank heavens!)

Author's Response: nice to see you, kay!  Thanks for the review!!

Oh I love SO much about this, but I have to say that last moment for me was the best!  I love that Pam isn't the "jealous type" but there's something inside of me that can't believe that she wouldn't have some lingering doubt issues...and this was JUST the right way to touch on that without making her seem crazy.  LOVED IT!

Author's Response: Awww...thanks, LoveFool!  I know that if *I* were Pam, I'd still need a little reassurance that Karen wasn't the threat she seemed like at the time....

Moxie, you really know how to make me happy : )  I felt like I was there.  So, so sweet.  Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks, Nan - just doing my part to keep up our spirits while we wait out this strike!

This will definitely keep us going during the strike.  My stomach was doing flip flops during the key scene.  You've done it again, Moxie, I'm hooked!

Author's Response: thanks, bees!  Hopefully the next chapter will show Pam being very happy she entrusted the key to Jim....

Author's Response: Thanks, JR - you know she never did, too!

Eeeeexcellent. I especially love the ending,  because we all know Pam is still a teensy bit jealous about Karen :)

Author's Response: I think she'll always have a slight sore spot regarding Karen, just as Roy will never make it onto Jim's Christmas card list.  ;-)  Thanks for th review, shan!!

Yes, a new Moxie series! I am looking forward to your unique perspective on S4 and beyond.

Author's Response: thanks so much!!  I shall endeavor to keep you entertained, downtown - thanks for taking the time to review (and leave that comment on MTT!)  You rock!

GOOD! good thing Karen never had a key. or else there'd be hell to pay. hehe...seriously, i think you captured that little moment of bliss nicely - settling into domesticity, keeping the sparks alive.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you think so, CashBasket - writing happy Jam is such a nice way to try and survive this writer's strike.  Thanks for taking the time to review!

Aw, this was lovely. Left me with tingly feelings in my stomach because that's totally something Pam would do, and Jim would already be a step ahead of her, right? He always was. Thanks for another masterpiece, Moxie. :)

Author's Response: thanks for such a nice review, oobadnama!  It's always nice to write happy Jam, isn't it?  :-)

OMG, this is part of a SERIES!  Sign me UP!

I love Pam teasing Jim, the paper-ho, and then cheering him up with something MUCH better than finger sandwiches and the FTC.

Nope, Karen never had the key to his house, or the key to his heart.  Only.  Pam.

Author's Response:

Well, given your influence, don't be surprised if the series rates higher than a K+ eventually....  :-)

Thanks for reviewing!!!!

Aw.  Now I feel better -- I was watching The Merger last night.  Ouch.  I really like how you handled the moment of tension over Karen here.  It was very subtle and believable.

Author's Response: Ouch is right!  Who watches The Merger on purpose?  ;-)  Thanks for reviewing, thirtypercent!!

I loved this story, Moxie.  I got chills when I read the very end:

She turned back to open the door and felt his hand on her shoulder.....

"She never had a key,"

Everything leading up to it was so spot on The Office too.  Keep 'em coming.  I have a feeling we're going to need a lot of this type of fanfic to get us through the drought.

Author's Response: Thanks, Abigail - I certainly hope the strike ends soon - I could never match the genius of Mike and Jen and Paul and company..!
