Aw, I love Jim's stupid mouth too! This was a great way of showing how he can be human, and stupid, and make mistakes, but in the end those mistakes are completely forgivable

Author's Response: Yeah, I'm all about everything working out in the end :) Thanks!

I loved the theme throughout this and their history, how despite being a pretty smooth salesman, Jim always has and probably always will screw up occasionally when conversing with Pam and say the absolute worst thing possible.  But, it's certainly fine with our Ms. Beesly, since she knows there is a lot of love behind his verbal faux pas.

Nice job with this.

Author's Response: They wouldn't be nearly so much fun to watch (or read about) if they were perfect! Thanks

I enjoyed reading this so much.  Your very first sentence pulled me in and it's so true of what you might expect:  "practiced charm" is a great way to put it.  I also loved how everything Jim does is (to make Pam smile).  Very nicely written in a really smooth style.  This is a place of welcoming, healingmirth, so you should just get...busy writing more!

Author's Response: If our dear Jim eats the same thing every day for lunch, he might as well use his powers of repetition for good, too, eh? Thanks, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

"Sometimes it hurt Jim’s heart to see her so happy again, planning to move forward with her life with a man who wasn’t him, but the sparkle in her eyes drew him to her more strongly than his self-preservation told him to back away."

What a beautiful line.  I really enjoyed this - great job!!

Author's Response: It's one thing for me to be pleased with a collection of words, and a whole different kind of giddy to know that it clicked with someone else. Thanks so much, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it :)

This is awesomeness on a big turkey platter.Jim sticking his foot in his mouth is definitely good stuff. Thanks for the early holiday treat!

Author's Response: I'm all for a little stumbling along the way. They are such not-good talkers sometimes. Thanks :)

Love your characterization of the 'game' Jim plays, trying to entertain Pam, and the mine fields he's hit along the way.

And I also think it's perfectly fine to have some separate interests -- I mean they work together and I presume spend most of their time outside of work together.  How can I miss you if you won't go away?

Nice job, healingmirth

Author's Response: I had more random ideas than I should probably admit to about microsoft-office-games-as-metaphor, but I really did like the idea that sometimes you recognize what to do in a pattern, and sometimes you just have to guess and hope you don't lose. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

this was fantastic. I loved the stroll through Jammy times past, even more so because it ended happily. :)

Author's Response: Thanks :) This was a little bit of getting up to speed, so I'm glad it was a pleasant trip!
