No, it's not confusing; I can follow it fine. :)
You might want to use contractions a bit more, though. It's the way we all talk, and it's a little bit jarring to read 'there is something' and 'that is just one...' There's a little typo here: "She has always manages."
I'm interested to see what happens next! I can't imagine having to have 'that' kind of discussion with an old boyfriend, especially when the end wasn't really mutual. YIKES!

This is an amazing start for a first Office story. I really like how you've written Karen - even though I know she's going to cause the angst in this story to kill me just like her presence in S3 did.

Thanks for portraying Karen as someone who has real feelings and isn't some crazy psycho out to kill jim or pam! I cannot wait until you update this story!
Author's Response: Thank you! :) I'm not a HUGE Karen fan, but I did like her. And as much as I was rooting for Jim and Pam, I kind of hated Jim for what he did to Karen. I guess it had to happen, though, in order for Jim and Pam to get their "happy ending". I kind of wish they had handled the break-up better, but oh well.
