"They were supposedly therapeutic, and were guaranteed to soothe away the carnival of regret that spun in her head."

This was a beautifully sad story. So many great lines and the one I quoted above really resonated with me. This was a great look into Pam's broken heart.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you liked that line, and some of the other ones in the story. I tend to write fairly comedic stories, so this was a bit of a change for me, so I really appreciate your review and kind words kaystar.

Happy New Year to you!  Well done.  Angsty, but it didn't leave me feeling depressed for some reason.  "White noise, the static, same-sounding, filler of space and sound that she was trying to fall asleep with, already existed in her life. In fact, it was her life"--very effective.

Author's Response: Happy (belated) New Years, to you too! Thank you for your review and support of this little story NanReg, I really appreciate it.
