You're working on the next chapter, right VB???  Huh, huh? Please!  This story is officially under my skin.  On more than one occasion last night and today, I found myself thinking about what they'll do when faced with the sleeping accomodations.  Sick, right?  (don't answer)  It's a gorgeous sunny day here, and I'm thinking about poor Jim Halpert and his impending hard on.  Feed my addiction, please!!!!   Oh, by the way, another great chapter : )

Author's Response:

What a fun review!  A lovely, sunny day and you're thinking about my story!  That just gave me a huuuuge smile!

I am indeed working on the next chapter!  AND the TWO chapters after that are already in the can!

Oh VB, why can't these two dumb kids just find their way to each other? The more chapters you put up, the happier I am.

Author's Response:

Hi, Kestrel!

I'd have to say our two obtuse protagonists cannot find their way to each other because ... I'm evil!  (And maybe a little squeamish about getting to the steamier chapters...)

I'm glad you're happy with the chapters, though!  Get back to your story now!  We want to read more about Cinderella!

I am so hoping that the degree of mental exhaustion that these two will be experiencing by the time they get to that room with one bed will cause them to "slip" and say/do something that they're trying really hard not to do at this point!

Can't wait for the next update!

Author's Response: Hmm ... that chapter's already written!  Mum's the word, though.  No spoilers on what's coming up!

Yeaaaahhh!!! You're back! I thought this wonderful story was abandoned! Yeaaaahhh!

Author's Response:

Nope.  The story wasn't abandoned.  I was just doing battle with Friday Morning for ... like FOREVER!  But, while I was stuck on that, other ideas were rolling around in my head and I was writing ahead.  Not near done, mind you, but I do have some partial chapters.  So the next few updates will be more timely than Friday Morning was.

Thanks for the little cheer!  It made me smile.  :-)

You are totally awesome!! I was totally kidding about putting up another chapter, but look at you go! I loved it! Another great chapter. I love Jim's inner monologue. I do wish he'd get the Karen stuff out of the way so he and Pam could just make out already! :) Either way....great chapter! Your awesome for getting this up so fast! Enjoy a break (just a short one!!)

:) :) :)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much!  And thanks for throwing the gauntlet – even if it was a joke!

I do believe we will be addressing the issue of Ms. Fillipelli in the foreseeable future.  I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

Very nice job with this story! I've been following this since you started it earlier this year and hoped you would continue to update. I like your "strong Pam". It's refreshing to see her speak up and take charge instead of wring her hands and stay silent. I am curious how things will go when she and Jim have more one-on-one time away from the hospital rooms later.

I appreciate your attention to detail, from the technical/medical stuff, to your descriptions of Jim's/Pam's thoughts throughout the story. You can really tell that this story is being told from an adult perspective and through adult eyes. In my opinion, it really helps make the story more authentic and true to Jim and Pam's characters. Very well done!

Sorry to read that you were not well because of your allergic reaction, hope you are doing better. Thanks for sharing this story. I hope you will continue to update, I look forward to reading more of this!

Author's Response:

Thanks for taking the time to leave such detailed comments, ShunUnshun.  I like strong Pam, too.  And I think she would've always had it in her if Jim needed her strength.  It's funny how a lot of times you can't find the inner resolve to be strong for yourself but, if someone you love needs you, you discover that your strength been there all along.

Thanks also for commenting on my attention to detail.  Honestly, sometimes I'm afraid I'm not detailed enough on the "texture" kind of stuff.  I think of stories by StablerGirl, Becky215 and Girl7 and I think I sound kind of dry.  I have to keep going back to add the "rich details."  So I'm relieved to hear it sounds like I'm getting enough in.

Reviews like yours are really helpful.  Thanks again for taking the time!

Oh, Jim.  You are in for it, buddy.

I like how you brought the lists back up.  You must have put a ton of work into those up front.

Author's Response:

Yep.  Jim is in for it!

I'm glad you liked revisiting the lists.  Nope.  Wasn't a lot of work to write them up.  Lived it for seven years, so it was just kinda there, you know?

Thanks for always leaving a review, lisahoo!  I look forward to your comments every chapter.

Oh sweet jeebus, I hope you are writing that hotel room scene.  "Awk-ward!"

Jim is being a totally believable chicken-sh!t avoiding Karen.  Totally believable for a guy who is 'playing house' with the woman he really wants to be with.

Author's Response:

Playing house?  I love it!  Hadn't quite thought of it that way.  Your review made me laugh, lisahoo!

Awww I heart Pam for being her and I'm hoping Jim will call Karen soon and just tell her how it is then go to Pam with a real ring so they can make the elopement official

Thanks for the update!

Awww. I'm glad Jim's realizing that he's pretty much hopelessly in love, and the idea of sharing a bed is freaking him out. Love that he's proud of her. I am too!

Author's Response: Thanks, nimblejack!  I'm really pleased that people are responding to my strong Pam.  I appreciate your feedback.

Loved this chapter! One of my favorite lines:
"Yeah, that would be great. He’d be sure to wake up feeling well-rested after a night of trying to ignore Pam and think about Dwight for six or seven hours."

Author's Response: Thanks very much!  I kinda liked that stressful image myself!  Glad you're enjoying the story.

I'm so sorry to hear about your "reaction" to your makeup. But I'm actually a little happy for me that it happened, because you are updating like a made woman!!!! Thankyou!

Wow, you are on quite a roll here.  What a wonderful way to wake up.  I find it a nice problem only having one bed!  That image of Pam with Jims dad made me cry.  My mom took care of my dad like that.  I think you don't understand that little things like making sure their skin doesn't dry out can be a comfort to them.  GREAT JOB,

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot!  Yeah, little details like the moisturizer will resonate differently to someone who's lived through this type of ordeal than to someone who hasn't.  It always makes me feel good when someone who's been through it picks up on those details and says they worked for them.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave reviews for so many chapters, khand3stooges.  Means an awful lot to the writer when people do that.

I'm in heaven. This has always been one of my favorite stories. Now, so many updates--you're spoiling us!
I've reread the last two paragraphs of this chapter about 20 times. Beautiful. Love the angst, but Jim's just got to let an 'I love you' to Pam slip out somehow. He's got to be so tired. Please? ;)

Author's Response: Thanks very, very much!  I should've had an allergic reaction sooner, I guess!  I'm so pleased to see you're enjoying my story.  I appreciate your taking the time to leave a reveiw.

Author's Response: Thank you, MuteytheMailman!  BTW, where'd you get that name?  Is it a reference I don't get?

Ha! I love that Jim didn't think about the "one room" when Nelani mentioned it. I mean, I know he wouldn't e thinking about that, but it was still funny to watch him realize it. Now he just needs to sweep that girl in his arms and kiss the hell out of her ;)

Author's Response:

I'm planning to drag this baby out for some more chapters ... I'm afraid you'll have to wait a while for the sweeping, young lady!  Hopefully, the chapters will be good enough that you think it was worth the wait!

Thanks for taking the time to review!

I only found your story tonight and i'm ADDICTED. I can't wait for your next update! It's amazing. I love  everything about it. I can't find words eloquent enough to express my adoration for you and this story! Also, i hope your allergic reaction has cleared up!

Author's Response:

Addicted?!?!?  Thanks so much!

I'm not quite cleared up but my head is smaller.  I've been looking like a bobblehead.  Now I merely look like someone took an obese person's face and plopped it on top of my body.  Seriously.  I've lost 75 lbs in the last 18  months and my face now looks like it did in early 2007.  Still, it's an improvement, I guess...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.  I really, really appreciate your kind words.

P.S.  Almost forgot "walker man."  Now THAT is a happy, silly image.  Love it.

Author's Response:

Walker man was actually my dad!  He was cute as heck with his walker!  He'd always toot his horn at cute young nurses & waitresses.  When he had to start using a walker, he never knew when to sit down as he backed into a chair.  So my husband got a bike mirror for him and as a lark got the horn.  Then my mom started to decorate it for each holiday.  Later, I took over with the decorating.  My favorite was valentines day.  I painted hearts to look like those love me candies you get in the little boxes and painted "John" and "Helen" on them.

My dad was truly a person who took lemons and made lemonade.  He was a real sweetie.  I'm thinking he may make a cameo appearance or two.

VB, I very nearly missed this because there was just no way there could be yet another update!  I am soooo happy!  Hope you're feeling great today.

Ah, where to begin on why I love this chapter?  Well, for starters, there's this:  Him.  Pam.  One bed.  No pajamas.  So, if this were a movie, that would be your teaser, spoken in dramatic movie announcer voice!  LOL!  Loved this, too:  There was no way he could sleep undressed in the same room as Pam Beesly, much less the same bed, without getting a hard-on the size of the state of Florida.   Me oh my!  Makes me think of breakfast in bed... *note to self:  get it together!*

On a more serious note, the visual of Pam with Jim's father is just so touching.  I felt teary.  Keep those creative juices flowing, doll.  You're doing an awesome job (and rest assured that I truly mean that).

Author's Response: Thanks sooo much, NanReg.  I look forward to your review every time I post a chapter!  You picked two of my favorite lines in this chap!  I am really having so much fun with this story!  I'm glad people are enjoying it.

Why not go for 5 chapters in four days! Come on! You can do it! Awesome! Looking forward to some more (okay lots more) interaction between Jim and Pam. Them sleeping together in the chair was so cute...and the way Jim held on. Very nice. Keep it up!

Author's Response:

My, my, some people are so greedy!  It's never enough, is it?  :-)

THanks very much for the kind words.  I think I need a day away from the computer though.
