You know, I really love this story, all of your work really. I've read this one several times and I always have the same reaction to this chapter so this time I pulled up the reviews for this chapter specifically and am honestly surprised to find that I'm apparently the only one that feels this way about this. I understand about Pam being braver and more independent, but it seems to me that here Pam decided that Jim's feelings didn't count. I mean, she couldn't comprimise and at least not be IN the wedding especially KNOWING Roy was going to be in it and she KNOWS how Jim would feel. Pam is the one who made Jim feel threatened by Roy and her actions in this particular chapter, if I were Jim, would have made me feel the same way. I mean, in the end, it really WAS Jim vs. Roy again, right? And Roy won. How is Jim supposed to feel about this? I wonder just how Pam would feel if Jim were going to go spend quality time around Karen and her family for a weekend because he had gotten close to a relative of Karen's during the time they were together. Oh, and I'm betting Jim wasn't invited along, too akward, and that would just add to the problems. Anyhow, I'm betting that Pam wouldn't for one instant put up with Jim being around Karen in that type of situation, no way because she is every bit as insecure about Karen as Jim is about Roy.
Anyhow, I just had to speak up for poor Jim. Course I know it all works out but I really do get this same reaction every time I get to this part, something in me is screaming, Jim, stop beating yourself up! Pam is being selfish and not even considering how this makes you feel! SO finally I at least wrote it down. Maybe I'll be more at peace with it now! :o) I really do adore your writing! Getting ready to reread the Circle of Life next! It's a favorite of mine!

This has to be my favorite Jam story ever!! It is romantic, sad, and humorous all at the same time. I really did have the biggest grin on my face sometime and wanted to cry in others. You're an amazing writer!! I'm sad it's over, but it was truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope Jim and Pam can have a future just like this. :)

That was really good. I'm not gonna lie; I was wondering how you were going to make it a cute surprise proposal, but it seemed really realistic and had enough of a surprise factor to it. Good job!

Lovely chapter. I'm glad they talked things through and I'm really glad Jim didn't ask. That last part was really sweet, with Pam assuring him that she'll say yes when it's the right time. My favorite lines: "I mean, can I see it?" and "I actually bought it for Dwight," Too cute! Looking forward to the next (last *sniffle*) chapter -- will it have the real proposal? =)

Poor insecure Jim. I just want to shake him! LOL! They really should talk things through...except I'm not so sure Jim would like that after Karen made him talk about his feelings all throughout their relationship. But that ring...that's so not going to solve anything, Jim. Haha I'm talking to fanfic characters. Great update, as usual. =)

I think you are trying to kill me. I hope Jim can get over this jelous bit. He has to know and trust Pam more than that. Here's hoping for something good in the next chapter.
