LMAO!! This story has really tickled me so far. Mose and Chicken Jane and Girl! Very cute idea. Can't wait to see if Angela catches them red-handed and they end up looking for Dwight's cajones along w/ the hen.

Author's Response: I think the end will surprise you. ;)  Thanks for reading and reviewing, BrosBeforeHoes!

An Easter egg hunt at Schrute Farms can't be anything but wonderfully odd and I can't wait to read your version of it, TLK.  I love Dwight calling Jim "Girl" so much and Jim still wanting to mess with him is great, but the line from Dwight about the baby being useless made me laugh out loud.

Author's Response:

Yay!  Any line that makes you laugh out loud is a good one, right? :)  I could see Dwight saying something like that.

Curiously, Dwight never mentioned the words "Easter egg hunt."  Everyone, including Jim, is making assumptions.  Think about that. ;)

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Sweetpea! :)

This was so cute, Kev!  Great dialogue, as usual.  Looking foward to seeing how, or if, Schrute Farms has changed since '07.

Author's Response:

I'm glad you liked it, EH!  I think you'll discover that Schrute Farms, like its occupants, is still odd. ;)

Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

OMG, TLK, Jim answering his phone and messing with Dwight is the best.  I am a total sucker for stories in which the Schrute and Halpert children are buddies.

Author's Response:

Hah!  I like Dwight's response ("Girl") stolen from the show (Drug Testing, deleted scene, maybe?).  I so enjoy Jim messing with Dwight on the show, and I'm sure it will never get old for him.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, lisahoo.  I hope your Easter weekend is going well!

Cute. I loved the 'Mutation' line. Made me LOL out loud. (I love inserting random quotes from random TV shows. I think that's a Monk one there.)

Fantastic, and continue quickly please!

PS: Why do I get the feeling that this Easter Egg Hunt is not going to be what Jim and Pam expected?

Author's Response:

Thanks, nepats!  I enjoyed the Mutation line, also.  That was one of those lines that just came to me; those are always fun! ;)

Nothing at Schrute Farms is to be expected, from the first time you drive up and someone runs alongside your car, to the evening you can barely sleep with all the howling from grief and the outhouse-door-banging, to the egg hunt you thought would entertain your children.  (Random quotes from random movies -- Be afraid, be very afraid.) ;)

I hope to have the next (and final) chapter posted sometime tomorrow, probably late.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, nepats!  (More randomness - In my head, your name sounds like nee-pats, even though I know it's for the Patriots.) :)

I'm glad you liked it, dancer!  I'm hoping to post the rest sometime on Easter, probably late. ;)

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. :)

Question!  How can Heike be so much fun ...if her parent's aren't?  I can't wait to see what a Shrute Farm "Easter Egg Hunt" looks like....should be very interesting.  Something tells me I'm in for a surprise!

Author's Response:

It's a benign mutation -- Heike should be a rigid, bizarre person like her parents.  Somehow, she's not!  Life was kind to Heike Schrute and to her future co-workers. ;)

Clues to what the hunt will be like can be found in Dwight's side of the phone call.  Or you can just wait for the next chapter, which will hopefully be up sometime on Easter (perhaps late evening on Easter.)  I think you're rather new to us here -- if you're interested in Schrute Farms in general, you may want to read my Beet Mail fic and (if you have a strong stomach and a bizarre sense of humor) Mose and the Seamonster, an Epic Love Story.  (I hope those links work; I'm not positive about how to link in the fanfic part of MTT.)  There are other stories people have written that are set at Schrute Farms, but I'm afraid they're few and far between, and I don't know titles/authors offhand.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, Mr Bill!  I hope you enjoy the ending also!
