I like where this story is going. Hopefully we'll see another chapter soon!

Author's Response: I'm glad.  And you will.  Just making sure I get it exactly right.  Good things come to those who wait. ;)

Really great start-- I can't wait to read the rest. It really sounded like both of them and the fact that they just didn't come out and clear everything up was a good way to do it.

Please update soon!!

Author's Response:

Thank you dreamscribe.  I really wanted to make sure they were both a tad vague, awkward and unsure about it all.  I'm glad that came across.

I won't drag this out long - I promise.

Oh, I love the premise of this story and I can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: If only the two of them spoke sooner (and without misinterpretation). :)   Thank you!!!  I'm working on it.

I swear, I thought the same thing when Jim said "I don't know who to call." PAM, you doofus! So I'm glad I get to see that play out vicariously through this story, and by a great writer to boot. Can't wait for more.

Author's Response: Oh of course he wanted to call Pam.  That boy does not fool me for a second.  :)  Glad you think I'm doing the premise justice and thanks for the review.  I really appreciate it.

This was wonderful to read.  All of those words they should have said to each other just came alive in your story.

I can hardly wait for Pam to get to Philly for her "date"!

Author's Response:

Thank you Beeswax - I'm so glad you liked it.   Always nice to know I've written something vividly.

And me either.  I guess I should finish the next chapter huh? ;)

OMG!  This would have made S3 INFINITELY better!!!!  Can't wait to see where this goes...

Author's Response: I tend to agree.  Don't get me wrong.  Pam needed to think about her life and make a few changes.  I just think she could have stepped up sooner. ;)   Hurrying with the update. :)

love. love. love.  This makes me happy, angst and all.  I so enjoy stories that feel true and plausible.  I'll be (im)patiently waiting for more.

Author's Response: thank you thank you thank you.  I'm glad it felt both true and plausible - always my goal.   Hopefully I'll be quick with the update.  I'm working on it dilligently. :)

I wish the episode had really ending this way. The end of the conversation between the two lovebirds was very realistic and when Jim listed off the things that made their interaction a date, I could actually see Jim saying that on the show! I hope you update soon!

Author's Response: I'm working on it elly!   I wanted the conversation to clear things up enough that he'd be amenable to her driving to meet him - but not a full on "I'm in love with you too" type deal.   It was really tough - but I'm glad it rang true to you.

i love this!!! so much potential, and from one of my favorite author's too. i cannot wait to see where this goes! and i totally agree w/ ch...the fic drought is grateful for your contribution!

Author's Response: It was tough getting to this place.  I've written that conversation many times before - and I tried with the perspective I have from making it through S3 to make it bit more subtle.  I'm so very glad you liked it.  More soon!

xoxoxo--Okay. So lately, I've been very jaded with the state of fic. The updates page has been barren, and all the old fic-friends and familiar faces seemed to have flown the coop in the last gasps of the WGA strike. I was sad, bummed, afraid we had lost all that we'd had in the glory days before "The Office" left for too many weeks.

Until today.

xoxoxo, your story literally revitalizes my faith in fic. You've recognized our favorite characters and brought life to all that we love about them with a fresh story concept that is truly innovative and intriguing. Of course I shouldn't be surprised by your graceful handling of Jim and Pam's dialogue; you're one of the best we have on MTT, my friend, and I'm really so happy to see that you're writing again. You've done a brilliant job capturing the tension of those post-Casino Night moments, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens next.

Again, brilliant work here, and thank you for writing this story! --Best, CH

Author's Response:

Wow, CH.  Did not expect that. [/Pam].   Thank you so much for you comments.  I am happy to know that you enjoyed my little story.  I'm hopeful the next chapter does not disappoint.

To paraphrase someone pre-S4 "It might not be everything, but you'll be happy."   (at least I sincerely hope so!)
