And now Karen called? Man. *shoots death rays at Karen* You've moved on, you left him for a big fancy NY job. He's happy here in Pilly with Pam. You don't need to mess that up fictional character!
Yeah, ya know Pam's reaction to her postcard... so I was taking pictures at the wedding. And I thought some of them looked pretty cool when I looked at them on the little camera screen. But I came home, got them on my computer, edited them (correcting color balance and what not), and man, some of them are good!!!
/braggy. Haha
Okay, at least her time at Roy's wasn't perfect. That will excuse the fact he didn't magically die.
Man, my heart just fell like 20 stories with Karen opening the door.
Ya know /weird Emily story time, I realized freshman year that I am weird about guys. Only in retrospect did I notice this... I realized in October/November area that me and this guy were totally different and weren't right for each other as friends. Looking back, I always could peg that exact night as the night I realized that. But, I didn't know it then, because I hadn't thought of him as anything more until closer to December. So, yeah. I'm weird.

Nice chapter. I liked how you set up the relationship between Karen and Jim. And the introduction to DM was very clever. I have enjoyed this story very much.

My two favorites: ...because he hated the silence the third floor had when she was gone. Usually he could hear her TV on or her talking with her mom on the phone, and it was a comfort to know she was there; and, It made him nervous that her inflections were the same whether she was humorous or livid.
And, of course, I loved how you ended this chapter : ) Looking forward to the next installment.

Still loving this story. I love how you captured the Jim/Karen relationship and the reasons why they should never have been together.
I also like the Fancy New Beesly asking Jim on a date. Can't wait for the party!
