So it's not Alex!? I'm so confused, but I'm totally excited for more!! :)

Author's Response: Confused and excited is good. *grin* Thanks SpunkyAR!

This is an awesome story! I can't decide if I think its Alex or not. He came across nice enough so far, but with a freaky-ness that can't be ignored!

I have to admit that at first I thought maybe someone (Alex?) had slipped something into Pam's drink. All I know is Jim needs to keep an eye on her and keep her safe!

Can't wait for an update!

Author's Response: Thanks drewbers, I'm glad you're enjoying it, and glad you're not sure. That's what makes it fun. It'll probably be a week or so before I can update - a couple of real life things to attend to - but I'll get it done as quickly as I can. I really appreciate the read and review.

I think I have a new theory...

Hope you update soon. :-)

Author's Response: Oh please, tell me. Because I'm not totally happy with what I have planned at this point and I could use a new theory. *grin*rnThanks for reading and reviewing, LoveFool.

Your closing sentence has left me full of anticipation!  …As he wondered what else could possibly happen to make this night more bizarre, Jim fell fast asleep.

So, if it's not Alex, who the hell is it?!?!?  I can't wait to find out.  And, yes, definitely a strained conversation between the two love-lorn men...

Author's Response: Creed. Creed did it. *grin* Thanks VB.

Ooh, the tension continues! I'm really glad Jim wasn't hurt too badly, and that Pam wasn't hurt at all. But I'm still concerned that you've got something else up your sleeve. You're doing a great job of keeping me guessing. Eek!

I keep going back and forth on whether I think Alex is a sick puppy, or just a lovesick puppy (VERY different things). That was definitely an odd conversation. Either way, I look forward to the resolution, whatever it is you've got in store.

Author's Response: I'm very glad you're enjoying it, and very glad that you're wondering what happens. So am I.rnThanks so much for reading and reviewing, Blanca.

i would love too see jim kick ryan's ass. that would make my week. lol just saying. do what your story tells you but i love when jim gets into ryan's face.

Author's Response: Ryan is fun to hate, no doubt about it, and I don't think he's disappeared quite yet. In fact, he may resurface shortly.*cue organ music* I don't think Jim's a violent guy by nature and would use it only when cornered, but who knows how this is going to go. I appreciate the read and review, toyrundry.

Awesome! The suspense built the whole way-- and now I'm falling off my chair! Can't wait to find out what's really going on here!

Author's Response: Hang on to that chair, tellsomebodoyit. And what IS really going on here? Still not sure.rnThanks for the read and review.

jazzfan, I love the suspense you've created.  The post-mugging interaction between Jim and Alex was great.  In fact, we were pretty sure from hearing about you that you’d show up in a cape. *snort*  Love that!  And this:  You have no idea what it’s like to be in my situation, man. Everyday.  Yeah, I suspect our boy knows a thing or two about THAT.  I'm glad this is longer than you thought.  I'm enjoying it immensely! (TWSS)  Bwahahaha!

Author's Response: Thanks NanReg. I found the fact that Pam had an admirer in New York who was faced with the same situation that Jim had been for many years quite ironic, so I wanted to work that in. And poor Jim's ego needed a little boost - Dunder Mifflin Man maybe? Okay, maybe not. Appreciate the review.rn

YAY! Update! (my dorm fire alarm went off at 12:15 last night, and an 8am class this morning. You have no idea how happy this makes me)
Damn Alex is a good actor, love the Van Gogh conversation.

Author's Response: Maybe Alex is telling the truth? Sorry about your fire alarm, too cold for that nonsense. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for reading and reviewing.
