I love how you're able to find Pam and Jim even without voices. It seems like a difficult task but you're handling it really well. I love the detail about her not being able to remember the name of the actress.
Author's Response: Yeah Roy does not fair well in my story here. I’m glad to hear I’m doing okay in this world without speaking. I’m totally a dialogue person when I write so it’s been a challenge but a fun one. And yes I thought it’d be kinda fun to leave it to the reader what actress Pam’s talking about.

I really love that you explored a little bit of the psychological impact of humans suddenly being forced into a world where they can't hear or make a sound. Obviously there's not much room for that in a action/horror movie, but it's the sort of thing it's fun to delve into a little more with fic.
I really enjoyed the complexity you gave to the Roy-Pam relationship in both my first and second time through this. It's just interesting to see how much of a tangled web you've weaved with them.
The backstory to Pam's strong signing was a really nice addition to this.

Poor Roy... kind of... I did love his final words though. Trish sounds like a treasure. I like the idea of Roy having a sister with a few more redeemable qualities.

After our chat, I finally rented AQP and then picked up here. I am so glad I waited. Although I’m still a little emotional, and it’s all a bit fresh for me. But yessssss it set the tone. 🤫

One thing I wanted more from AQP was backstory and a look at how in other people were handling the invasion. I love that you included some flashbacks in this story and that we got a glimpse of that! Excellent chapter and I can’t wait to read more.
Author's Response: Yes, I think the movie was wise to go with the limited scope that it did, but I was also definitely curious when the father lit the fire about those other nearby farms. But yes, a benefit of writing and writing this particular story is getting into the past and how it shaped the present and that's lots of fun

Author's Response: Nah, I suppose he didn't, but I also think the fairytale ending he got on the show in S9 was a bit unearned also, he deserved something between the two ;)
