Poor Pam! She's so miserable and stuck and she just can't get out of it. I always hate how into Katy Roy was during Casino Night; the whole scene where she's doing the cheer at the table and he's lapping it up - ugh. It's so uncomfortable to watch and now it's uncomfortable to get into Pam's feelings after it all went down - she's not excited at all about this June 10th wedding :(

Author's Response: Yeah, I debated doing booze cruise as a triptych too because there's so much going on. Roy really does know how to ruin his own moments...

Lovely, lovely chapter. Haven't we all been angry with ourselves, our lives, others, whatever at 3AM to the point we are the most honest and also the most alone. The bit where she recognizes that elusive Something in Jim's eyes is particularly wonderful.
Fantastic last sentence. Fantastic.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the ending; I couldn't decide if that phrasing was too cheesy but I decided to just go for it.

I can definitely see this going on in Pam's head after they got home from the Booze Cruise. Once all the excitement of Roy setting the date wears off, she realizes that Roy yes did something big here, but after that, he's still the same boorish guy he's always been.
However seeing as she's been engaged for 3 years at this point and with Roy for longer the fact you have her clinging to that relationship also makes total sense. Regardless of how she feels for Jim, which in this chapter she clearly has some albeit confused feelings for him, she's still not ready to ditch on such a long relationship.
However she's still thinking about it. So very good job on getting all of Pam's confused thoughts and feelings out with this chapter. It's a good peak into how her mind is at this point in her journey.

Author's Response: Thanks! It is good to know that this is still hanging together with the arcs of the characters in-canon since that is my goal here.
