THE EXTRA MUFFIN. Oh gosh, the man is *so* in love. And Pam’s reaction to it is equally as heartwarming and sad.
I already knew the story, but I LOL’ed hard at Pam naming her stuffed horse Bastard. That’s so freaking funny.
We again get to see just how easy it is for them to talk with each other, which always tugs at the heartstrings whether you’re reading about it or watching it. You captured it very well.
I like that we’re getting to see a conflicted Pam here. We don’t usually see that in the show unless something really major happens, so it’s nice to get insight on everything going through her mind in season 2.

OHHHHHH I envy Pam for seeing Jim from the crack of her door. This was amazing. Sure, Pam. “Just a friend indeed”

Yay for a Pam POV chapter! This is an interesting take on Pam – she’s clearly got all the pieces of the puzzle right in front of her, and just can’t quite seem to put them all together. Like, her subconscious is actively rebelling against her shadow of denial here with the picture, and Jim is her reflexive first call when she needs someone to, you know, fill in for Roy.

I love that you put a soaking white Jim on his knees with a diamond ring. You slay me. Pam: the universe is speaking to you. And the universe does not like being ignored.

I also appreciate the telling note here that Pam doesn’t really notice Roy is gone except in the sense that a lot of inconveniences are out of her way, and the parallel with just how much she just enjoys being around Jim.

Hoping Chapter Three is on its way!

This chapter turned out so well! The t-shirt, the engagement ring, and Jim on one knee? Absolute perfection.

He smelled like Roy and felt like Jim... cannot compute haha.

Can't wait for your next update!

Okay just go ahead and kill all of us now. First the extra muffin, d'awwwww. Then let's just skip ahead. Jim kneeling with a diamond ring to give to Pam while being soaking wet? Hell of a way to reuse one of the best scene's from cannon and yet add that subtle twist of angst. But seriously, you're going to kill us all if you keep that up. Doubly so with all of Pam's peaking at Jim and hugging and holding and confused feelings. Don't get me wrong, the evening with jokes and Chinese food was wonderful. Pam really letting herself be happy will hopefully spark something out of that land of denial she's been in.

She paints and it comes out Jim. She needs help and turns to Jim. She feels happy in who knows how long and it's because of Jim. Oh the S2 feelings are so strong here.

Going to go ahead and need this updated yesterday, please and thank you. Great job.

I'm sorry, what? You give me wet shirt Jim and expect me to be fine? And *then* you give me shirtless, muscled Jim, and you really think I'm able to form words right now? Unacceptable.

Except thank you because wow I loved this. Him buying her a muffin but claiming he got it for free is perfect. I love that she found that out. Ugh. And then her painting them listening to music during The Client, but she's not sure why she painted that? Amazing. "She wouldn't be keeping the painting." Can I have it then??

And then we get the sheer *perfection* that is wet shirt Jim "proposing" to Pam. And the fact that he's oblivious to his position and she is all too aware of it, while he's holding a diamond ring out to her is just. Amazing.

Love the name Arooga's. Wonder where you got that from (;

"I don't mind." "Me neither." Okay just kill me, why don't you?

I hate that Roy called and ruined everything that was perfect in life. "They would always be friends."

This fic is going to be the death of me.
